What does a korean court verdict have to do with America? I don't think we look to Korea for legal precedent...

did you even read the statement?

yes, I read the statement. Maybe I'm not comprehending very well...

From what I understand, some former TERA executive and former NCSoft personnel were found guilty in KOREAN court and are being told to pay something like 5.7 million dollars. BHE and EME were not found guilty of anything.

Sooo...what does this have to do with the US court filing? Explain to me, please, because I'm missing something...

Down with NCFail!~ They never will get my money again. Then again the moment I played Aion some years ago, I said I wouldn't give them another dime of my money nor waste a second of my time playing their games.

Gamasutra.com says 2 of Enmasse's guys are going to jail, for around 2 years...
And Gamasutra isn't a place where game developers are used to post lies... Just saying.
And if NC wins against Bluehole, NC will earn almost 6 million in damages.
Currently it's 1x1 on their PvP lol.

Edit: I meant Bluehole's guys, not Enmasse's.

BLUEHOLE was found not to have commited any criminal acts but the civil portion is still in review.
I have a strong impression BLUEHOLE will have to pay the fines. Civil issues due not need as high a standards of proffs as a criminal action.

This is a sign of times to come in a crowded MMO market. All these MMO companies could honestly sue each other....they are all similar in a sense. The real challenge in this MMO market is to keep content fresh and keep your subscriber base.

This read to me that a bunch of devs jumped ship and NCSoft is pissed and assumes intellectual property was stolen to assist in the development of Tera. This may not be over and I suspect that NCSoft may come after those said employees if non disclosure agreements were signed when employed. Pay careful attention to the clauses regarding "Intellectual Property".

I really enjoy Tera and hope this distraction does not cause harm to the final product....keep up the good work and focus on the product. Best way to beat them is beat them with a successful product.

I have a good question for you,

1.)the first page of the filing states that Ene Masse is a subsidiary of BlueHole ent. Is this factual?
2.) This filing reads like an article from people magazine, its horrid.
3.) It does not deserver further comment.
4.) Most importantly i hope that you got the case dismissed with prejudice and or won the suit and request that the judge order NCSOFT to pay court cost and attorneys fees along with issuing an apology for a stupid PR stunt.

5.)Unfortunately today companies and individuals see the courts as a new source of revenue. These types of frivolus law suits are destroying economies, and lives all over the world. The cost of health care and technology in the United States has been severly impacted by such nonsense. I hope the Judicial community start behaving them selves and begins punishing plaintiffs for such irresponsible actions.

6.) I hope defendants in these type of suits don't settle for them merely going away but persue damages and restitution against people and the attorneys filing this garbage.

See you all in game, lets all cheer for a great run for ene mase and Blue Hole. go go innovators.

BTW I just wanted to compliment BlueHole on choosing the epic Unreal Game Engine. The core of this game (as well as the game itself) is truly amazing, great job!
