I love all the patch notes, however:

"Increased difficulty from levels 1–15 on an experimental basis. Players will have around 30% less HP and return to baseline by level 20. That red bar at the top of your screen? Kinda important."

I would have liked this better if you increased how much damage we take from the mobs instead of lowering our HP. What about in PvP situations during these levels? I mean, it is hard for some players to actually get their stuff done (especially in Lumbertown) due to being ganked and what not.

1-15 takes like an hour, big whoop
Potions have long CDs, just think of em as another heal
And everything else : How long do people plan on being not at max level? This game barely even has grind...Everything is meaningless until you max out

The fact that you state an RPG game is meangniless until you hit max out status irrates the hell out of me. That's like saying we should get rid of steering in racing games or guns in FPS, because those components aren't essential to their respective genres right?

And to anwser your question, I plan to be leveling characters until I have done so with all 8 (soon to be 9) classes, so however long that takes me, and I will enjoy that parth of the content. I'm hoping for 200+ hours at the least.

(PS : It's entirely possible I didn't interpret your comment in the correct way and you would actually prefer to have a longer and more meangniful leveling experience than what we currently have. if so, then you have my support, because I agree with the idea that TERA's leveling is too short.)

TY for the notes. Not sure lowering Hp. 1-15 Is a good answer to makeing It more of a challenge though. Lowering Hp. for those lvs. might add some challenge but I think there were cooler ways to do this with content ect. It's not huge either way I guess since you are through those lvs. fast enough anyways.

- 30% HP at low lvl = masacre for low lvl chars in PvP lol
Possible to see lvl - will only help with that.

Beside this I have to make again 11 lvl character to give proof infamy system is still possible to abuse?

Again next update without think about consequences...

I can understand how EME tried to compensate for the difficulty at lower levels, but ultimately I don't believe that it will make combat in the Island of Dawn any more interesting. If grinding trash mobs is harder than before, okay, cool, but will it actually result in a more compelling experience? Not really.

There are plenty of people who have suggested that one or two appropriately-scaled BAMs be introduced in the starter area. I strongly agree with this. BAMs are the most exciting thing about TERA; they are also a huge selling point, so why not let players experience this, the feature you are so passionately advertising, early on?

Before I began playing in CBT2, guess what all of my friends that got into CBT1 said? "TERA is boring until you hit level 20ish." They meant basilisks and instanced dungeons.

It would not be a disadvantage to create an interesting and thrilling environment before level 20. There are plenty of games I have played where I did mundane activities for way too long, and wondered when the game would become fun or get better later on. TERA does not need to be, and shouldn't be, like that. I would have quit after level 15ish and file it in my mind as another brainless grinding MMO if I had not read/heard about BAMs and based my view off of what I had seen and done up to that point (mainly quests that say, "go kill x amount of trash mobs").

I know this is just CBT4, but I hope before launch you guys do more to actually add to the low level experience, not just reduce player HP and call it a day. Thanks for your time and good work.

The idea that some people moan about the 'grind', then turn around and say BAM's are fun though.. also baffles me.

The only difference between a normal monster that you kill for quests and a BAM is the fact the BAM is BIG, has ALOT more hp, and hits ALOT harder. Its just a big monster.

So if all the normal monsters were buffed (though not up to bam level), it surely makes sense to asume they would be more fun to fight, therefor the leveling would become more fun, and the whole 'grind' feeling will start to disipate. Again though i point out that 'grind' is the process of killing monster over and over without the use of quests in order to level. We currently do NOT have that in game, and even if leveling was to take longer by requiring more quests be completed, it would still not be a grind.

Increasing monster difficulty is one way to decrease leveling speed obviosly, but the better way to increase the time is to lower exp gains and/or increase exp requirments. Atleats for levels 12 to 40 . Level 1 to 12 need to stay the same exp wise as you get to level 12 by the time you enter velika for the 1st time having done all the available quests. Therefor unless more quest would be added, lowing exp gains or increasing exp requirment for those first 12 levels would lead people to be'ing under leveled.

As much as i dont like the fast leveling speed present for levels 12 to 40 as it stand, the fact EME is 'trying' to make atleast levels 1 to 15 'harder' is a good sign, if i had a chocie between slower leveling speed changes or a harder time leveling.. i would choose having a harder time. They have not exactly gone the best possible route, as this HP decrease for players may well also have an effect on pvp... but atleats they are 'trying'.
