TERA's Early Character Creation event will take place from Friday, April 13 at 7:00 PM Pacific to Tuesday, April 17 at 10:00 AM Pacific. This exclusive event allows players who have pre-ordered TERA to reserve a single character name before the Open Beta Test event begins.

- If you have pre-ordered TERA, you will be able to create a single character on a single server during this time. This will help us balance our servers before launch and allow you to reserve your preferred character name and collect your guild mates together before the start of the Open Beta Test. Characters names will be available on a "first come, first served" basis.

- To create a character during the Early Character Creation event, simply log into the game, select a server, and create a character.

- If you make a mistake, want to change your reserved name, or wish to change servers, simply log in, delete that character, and create another one.

- If the server you want is full, don’t despair. Space may become available as people create and delete characters over the course of the Early Character Creation event. If all the servers become full, we will add more or make more space available on the existing servers.

- Not sure what to create? Take a look at the race and class information pages for inspiration on the type of character you'll want to play in TERA!

You can visit the Server Status page to monitor the status of our existing servers. This list will be updated to include any new servers we add.

I would like to know what servers are located where. I'm a West coast player with a lot of west coast based friends and would like to play with them on my time zone. If there are any servers located anywhere besides the west coast please state that now.

As far as I know it's all just a single datacenter in Chicago, sad times.

PLEASE don't limit character count on the servers this weekend, or make it as high as possible. it's a time for community to be created.

People are only allowed one character per account anyway. What if a 200 person guild wants to go there and only half can get on and the other half are locked out? the guild is destroyed, or it all moves to the lower populated server and you have one zerg guild on each server and no competition, then they just zerg every other little guild at release. Please reconsider and don't put a small lockout number on the servers.

As long as it's labeled "FULL" at OpenBeta/Release new people will know there will be queue times for the server if they choose to go there and will be encouraged to create on a different server.
