All this will do is further widen the gap between levels in PvP. Think it's fun being 1 shotted by a player 4 levels above you? ...with this you will now be 1 shotted by a player 2 levels above you with an over enchanted weapon since they will be more common.
not sure about this one EM. i personally felt the enchanting system was fine the way it was.
i welcome these changes and i might say i am very suprised(and quite impressed at this point) by EnMasse. especially the second part seems like a very good decision as it will help people to customize their character stats and maybe allow more diverse playstyles. it will also add a bit more transparency to the mechanics when much more accessible gear will allow for lots of experimentation. the changes will IMO also ultimatively help with pvp balance for the same reasons.
and contrary to the voices fearing devolving of in-game economy i actually think this change will make it stronger as people will enchant anything and everything they can, because now it might even make sense to do so.
K So reading through some of these comments I'd just like to say to Enmasse -
THANK YOU - You've officially ruled out all the ignorant wannabe Tera fanatics and trolls.
I'm very happy you keep making changes. These changes only show all of us hardcore Tera Fan's, how many troll happy ignorant morons have been test driving the servers for us.
Let them cancel! I'll be happy when they've all gone back to whatever elitist game they were playing before CBT's started.
GOOD RIDDANCE >
I think this is a HORRIBLE move EM, I don't mind the enchanting as much, but luxing (optimal identifications) is supposed to be an extremely difficult thing that is only possible with a lot of time and effort. If you run with this change, everyone will be running around with +12 luxed equipment, and there will be little to know difficulty in the game anymore, especially at endgame. I
I can understand that you guys want to cater to the casuals a well, but this is just going overboard. There will literally be nothing to do for players who actually spend time in the game. I can guarentee that if you pass these changes, less than a month into release a large number of the players will already be completely capped in terms of level and items. With everything +12 and luxed.
This is extremely bad business practice as it means that hardcore players who went into this game for the challenge will be extremely disappointed and will quit after the first month or at max two due to completely running out of content.
Even in kTERA that has been out for many months, luxing is supposed to be a very difficult thing that not everyone is able to do. Even after a year, seeing people with luxed gear is a rarity. Something to be proud of.
If you apply these changes, it will completely ruin the endgame for TERA.
