Enchanting and Unsealing Improvements

This is great news as it will make enchanting gear as you level to be a viable choice, and it will make crafted equipment more useful. I am very glad to see this change, but I have concerns on how the end-game will be like.

With this change, It will be very easy to get +12 gear at max level, and I am afraid it will unbalance certain things or render gear to be even more of a deciding factor for character ability,

Guess I will be playing GW2 after all :)

Ya, I just really don't know what to say here. It's like EME thinks we're a bunch of idiots that can't handle any challenge whatsoever. I can't understand these design decisions?

Ditto... they are clueless.

I do not know why someone would be mad with the change, those true hardcore players will now actually be the first ones to get +12, they complain this is being made casual...those powders wont be cheap.

The funny thing is that hardcore player could of spent 1bil on enchanting got unlucky and never +12d an item with the stats he wanted...while some random casual got his item +12 first try spending 100mil.

Guess who will be the first one crying on the forums about the enchanting system being unfair RNG bullcrap?

Not the hardcore player.

I honestly don't get why people are mad at this. RNG ruins games...Just ask any player that's sat in Aion and spent 500 million kinah just to watch their enchants barely move and simply go down.

Or that one guy who gets +14 armor, and fails 7 times getting it to +15. As in, from 14 to 10, just to get to 14 and go down to ten again...7 times.

EME...You're my hero.

You truely are. This game is truely skill > gear now. TRUELY!

For all these people who claim to be so hardcore and nurdraging over this amazing update have lived under a rock. RNG has been the defining factor on PvP when one guy blessed with RNG can enchant their gear to max in minimal effort, then wreck all the other people who just aren't so fortunate. This will even the playing field and eliminate the effort to enchant something so trivial just to effectively kill a target.

On another note, It WILL cost more to enchant, they said. So it WON'T happen all the time for everyone. Also, it won't be that major of a problem to people. It doesn't make the game "easier". You still have to get the armor and weapon from the instances, which isn't something you can just simply roll over as a noob to obtain. You still have to farm an ASSLOAD of money to afford such an upgrade, which isn't much different from the assloads of money you would of spent had the enchants downgraded upon failure to begin with.

Lastly, not anywhere in the OP did it EVER say that enchanting was 100% now.

IT SIMPLY STATES THAT ENCHANTS WILL NOT DECREASE UPON FAIL.

You can still fail. You might always fail, hense the assload of money comment. But if you DO succeed, it stays even when you fail. That's it. You people [filtered]ing have reading mis-comprehension.

Define "challenge". Sitting still clicking a button with your fingers crossed?

The opinions of the self-proclaimed "hardcore" have, more often than not, been the most short-sighted and malformed Veruca Saltings that I've ever seen.

If you want to discuss clueless, let's talk about those who think that games of chance are a challenge.

The funny thing was the stats, the stats were bad, sealing /unsealing over 1000 times trying to get the right stats, and resealing/sealing 1000s of times to get a lux(to even allow gear to go +12) in the first place.

Then you need to start enchanting...I am all for a challenge, but not for bad luck. I consider myself a "hardcore" player, not in the retarded mindset like most, but in the mindset that ill play so much ill have more gold than anyone else and get +12 before anyone who gets lucky.

But you have to add something random back in the game. Something that people feel satisfied by luck. No annoying quests everytime you want to fkn enchant something, that's dumb. That just adds more work, not more fun.

So what you're saying is that on one hand, having to farm wild amounts of gold to appease Fortuna is fun, but having to farm quests is work.

Correct?

He is saying instead of making 1bil to finally get his +12, he would rather make 1bil, fail and farm 1bil again to try for a second time.

Because that is more fun, farming 1bil to end up with nothing, is more fun than farming 1bil to end up with what you want.'

It would be even more fun if he farmed 2bil and failed again to try to farm some more...especially while his casual friend farmed for 100m and got it first try based on luck.

Do you know how happy he would be that he spent 2bil to end up with nothing while his casual friend spent 100m and is now calling him a noob? So much fun.

This.

Aion is going free to play for a reason. RNG killed Aion.

Any true "hardcore" gamer will focus on skills and playing ability, and PVP because its fun and skill based.

What people who say they are "hardcore" in this thread mean is that they love to constantly PVE in order to blow millions on RNG systems that aren't associated with skill, ability, or fun.
