Okay let me level with you here and put an end to this... Everything you are saying is still an estimation of what you think EME is doing vs what is actually going on.

Even if you have been following EME for 2 years you have no more information regarding what is actually going on than anyone else here. So everything you have been saying in this thread is just your opinion and your interpretation of what is happening / going on. Therefor you aren't in any position to be talking like you do in fact know everything....


I'm speaking from a position of what I know, what EME has told me(us) with the inability to quote direct statements. Despite wishing that I could.

You have every right NOT to believe me, I'm simply refuting the comments that you are making, based on my experience, and what I've personally heard from EME's mouth.

Do you guys realize that nobody is giving a S***T about what you're mumbling about?

The fact and the ONLY fact about this whole 115 pages comment section is that EME has failed to show us proof and/or stats that aproves their desisions...

(exept for the boxes, one of the producer had a bad streak lol.)

I will soon be making a Feedback thread to get an ignore users function and ignore Nitzleplick the second it is added.

Anyway back on topic instead of having someone who has no idea what they are talking about clogging up the threads.....

As it stands currently we still have no word from EME regarding their stance on why they are not responding to this thread even though it clearly deserves a response.

Centralize the market? I want the [filtered] player shops back. Just because people spam spawn them next to the brokers because they don't know any better doesn't mean the market will be split. The player shops should be used for places very far away from towns. Such as the entrances to instances and high traffic questing areas. After launch the players that will be utilizing the market will surface and will know better than to search through the player shops in towns and head straight for the broker. Then turn around and wind up in the middle of no where with no travel scrolls or caster friends in the region, spot a handy player shop selling scrolls, and buy one. Don't you worry your little heads about the market splitting. People will quickly figure out no one wants to search through a bunch of shops near brokers and just use the broker. I want to be the guy running around to inconvenient places dropping player shops full of slightly more expensive scrolls, potions and drinks.

1) Nitzleplick joined the TERA community on Jan 19th, 2011. They participated in the CPE, not the FGTs. Prior to joining the forum, I cannot vouch for their activities. After joining the forum they contributed about 3.83 posts per day, amassing a total of 1,429 before the switch to the new forum. As someone who was definitely more active, I can say that in general, they did not amass those posts by spamming and/or posting in inane topics.

2) EME has traditionally not released all of their information, nor have most companies.

3) While their decisions can be influenced to some degree by the forum community, we do not have the largest voice in their meetings, nor do we represent their entire potential playerbase. Comments suggesting that EME has to listen to the forum community, should be taken with a grain of salt.

4) In the vein of #2, EME has released generic information about some of the methods used to gather feedback. Please note my wording.

5) For those new or less frequent community members, you missed a few things, about the community and about the level of interaction EME has traditionally had with the community. Please do not assume everyone is on the same page with regards to information.

115 pages later and I'm still waiting for EME to respond.

It's Wednesday; only a couple of more days before the next CBT. I'd like to know if they've decided to stick with their original plans, or if they've made tweaks based on comments from multiple threads including this one.

Patch notes will likely be out tomorrow.

edit: Nevermind, they will post them soon as the patch is ready for download. Could be later today or tomorrow....

It does not matter that there was an option somewhere in the UI to turn pets off

The tool itself was functionally useless except to have a Buy Order.

Pets are NOT content

An NPC does not make a city "Feel Alive"

You cannot [filtered] about the LFD making people "Stay in cities"

And in the same breath say that removing Pets make cities feel dead.

What you are asking for is gibberish, it makes NO SENSE.

The functinality of the pets will be used to beef up the AH, players will be in cities, and towns making the world feel alive and populated and we will be replacing useless tools that no one even used, or liked. Outside of a few people, who are stubbornly kicking their feet, and screaming at En Masse about.

En Masse is going to give you a new Lollipop but no, "WAAAAH I WANT THAT ONE!"

I love a blind-fanboy that supports anything that results in the game having less content. You, by your definition is a EME fanboy aka game-gutter. I'm a Tera Fangirl (working original).

Pets were optional(even had the option of being NOT seen) and your giving some pretty lame reasons as to why they would be needed to be taken out.

Think about your own paragraph for a moment. Pets and AH were the only TWO ways people could trade with each other in-game. And they ARE content whether you recognize it or not.

Now that optional trading and very convenient route, is gone.

So what's left? An Auction-House that can be turned off by a vanarch at any-time. Can't use a pet cus now you have to run city to city just to find a place where AH is working even if your way out somewhere.

Say for instance, a check-point. There are NO AH's at checkpoints. A pet could have supplied players with potions and MP pots for their journeys, but now that's been ripped out.

As for the "lolipop" all that's being processed here is the one that's been licked on, missing pieces, re-wrapped, then presented to you as "new and exciting" as the westernize process of game-gutting ritual continues.

So unless they nail the AH vanarch options too Tera's 'economy' is fail waiting on the horizon and a very easy and optional content to players lost in the process.


Still doesn't explain why in-game items like mischief and BoP. There's a reason why this 'westernization' is an overkill, and perhaps you'll find out with the bugs and inconveniences that go along with it...
