Why would someone in my guild create a character on another server? They will not play on that OTHER server without the guild. I really think you should open up more spots now, why wait till the open beta? Makes no sense at all what you guys are doing. 80% of the things you guys have done from past patches up until now, make no sense at all. Fix your ways already and do the right thing.
Hello, TERA community!
As we started to see the first full server for Early Character Creation, we wanted to provide more explanation on what it means. When a server is indicated as 'full', you will not be able to create a character on that server.
We will open more spots during our open beta test and launch, including the servers that are full.
In the meantime, if you are unable to enter a full server, the most efficient and dependable way would be to create the character on one of the less populated servers according to the server status page.
You realize how stupid that is right?
Why would someone in my guild create a character on another server? They will not play on that OTHER server without the guild. I really think you should open up more spots now, why wait till the open beta? Let's say 20k is max per server. What they will do is, lower that number to say, 15k. So that way it looks like its a full server already. This will also try to make them look good, which it won't. But they will say that we will increase the capacity later and open up that other 5k they lowered it by. Lot's of companies do this, but its a pretty lame tactic if you ask me.
This is how most companies do it from what I have seen.

We are looking at the delete issue right now.
For reference Valley of Titans was more than double any server when it hit the cap. I would very much encourage you to create characters on other servers where there is still plenty of space.

You guys should give us an approximate number on how many new players will be allowed to join the server come OBT.
PS. Waiting till OBT to allow users to create more characters is a really bad idea as you will have more people having issues for logging in due to extremely high server traffic.
Please give us a number for the end cap come OBT / Launch and the current numbers on VoT. Just saying its double doesn't really tell us anything.

The primary goal for early character creation was to balance our servers to avoid having queue's and unbalanced servers. Could we open up more slots on VoT? Sure but then you would be right back here angry at launch that there was a huge queue and that we didn't balance properly.
The secondary goal was to give you guys a chance to choose your server and name on a first come first serve basis.
