Hello, TERA fans!
As we get closer to launch we are starting to see an influx of exciting information around various game features. While it is truly a great time to be a TERA fan with all the new information flowing, there was some miscommunication around the party matching mechanics. We apologize for the recent confusion and we want to clarify the two different party matching mechanics in TERA.
Instance Matching and Looking For Group Systems
1. Looking For Group:
TERA's Looking For Group feature allows players search for others in-game to create a party, whether it be for questing, BAM hunting, or to run an instance. Looking For Group works within the single server and is only viewable to the other players on the specific server.
2. Instance Matching:
With the Instance Matching system, folks will be able to find the other players who want to run specific instances. This will work as a cross-server system where one person or a party leader (when there are 2-4 characters within the party) can apply to be matched for an instance dungeon.
We will have more information on these in the future but as neither of the systems has been used by our community in a post-launch setting, we really want our community to try them out and give feedback based on their experiences. We appreciate the community's feedback and we are, as always, listening to them closely.
