No one is being forced to use the cross-server LFD. Since there are those who are so opposed to it, then form your groups the old way by spamming LFG channel.

Its possible in Ktera. As Testimony said just not in full group.

To me, I would take this to mean if you had 2-5 characters within a party you can queue up (same-server or not). I hate to say this... kind of how WoW was.

Personally i'm with Leiloni... lets all just wait and see..

There is role reversal and favoritism in your group matching systems.

The players who use the LFG system in server should get the increased drop rates. Where as the people who are limited on time and jumping into a dungeon cross-server should receive combat buffs (making it easier and quicker for casuals). They already received the benefit of easy dungeon access. Why would they be rewarded excessively for taking the shortest most direct path?

like other in this thread im actually very disappointed in this choice. of all the choices thats been published the last few weeks this is by far the worst. A game changer for me.

it seems the impact on open pvp servers has had no thought at all.

please make pvp servers an exception to this rule.

Hello, TERA fans!

As we get closer to launch we are starting to see an influx of exciting information around various game features. While it is truly a great time to be a TERA fan with all the new information flowing, there was some miscommunication around the party matching mechanics. We apologize for the recent confusion and we want to clarify the two different party matching mechanics in TERA.

Instance Matching and Looking For Group Systems

1. Looking For Group:
TERA's Looking For Group feature allows players search for others in-game to create a party, whether it be for questing, BAM hunting, or to run an instance. Looking For Group works within the single server and is only viewable to the other players on the specific server.

2. Instance Matching:
With the Instance Matching system, folks will be able to find the other players who want to run specific instances. This will work as a cross-server system where one person or a party leader (when there are 2-5 characters within the party) can apply to be matched for an instance dungeon.

We will have more information on these in the future but as neither of the systems has been used by our community in a post-launch setting, we really want our community to try them out and give feedback based on their experiences. We appreciate the community's feedback and we are, as always, listening to them closely.


So... this means LFG will be there at launch, and Instance Matching will NOT be at launch?

I don't like cross server Dungeon Matcher.

If anything, it should not give buffs or extra loot for using it. It would be a lot better if you get extra loot for running the dungeons with people from your own server. This can encourage players to try and form their own groups instead of using this tool.

It would be even better if it wasn't cross server.

Question:

Does joining the Cross-server Dungeon finder queue improve drop-rates on loot, improve the loot that drops or anything to do with loot? Or is it JUST little buffs given to you?

This is incredibly important.
