I do enjoy the way the Nexus rewards those players that inflict excessive damage. I hope those healing and collision based classes do not mind terribly.

I think using Rift's system, which triggered these sorts of events in response to high population in an area, might be a better approach. It's more random, it allows people of all levels to participate if they choose to do so, and you don't have to try and reconcile schedules with the various time zones.

Having reached level sixty, my attention of course, immediately turns to Nexus events. As that is the end-game content, Nexus events and high level dungeon runs. The problem arises in the disarray of the Nexus. There are simply so many people participating that the whole thing has the frame rates of a leisurely slideshow.

A DoT kills within the minute, unless one has a priest handy, which I enjoy, that is strategy. But the utter lag usually relates to death when trying to attack the BAM.

One of the worst issues, beyond this, is the timing of the Nexus events. Thrice a week simply is not enough. Having reached max level, and not wanting to create an alt and level all over again. The end game content is minimum at the moment. And leaves me waiting for three days a week to actually play. And worst of all, two of these days are completely unplayable as a European player. They're simply held far too late in the day. It seems the American based customer model is also having problems with the late times of these. Should there not be an earlier alternative? Noon or even morning.

End game content as important as this should not be on a schedule. And if it -must- be scheduled, do not limit it to the weekends. And certainly not to the evening only.

My suggestion is to have two nexus events take place a day. One in the early afternoon, one in the evening. Lasting two hours each. This way more people will have a chance to participate.
In addition, the difficulty of the different stages should be lowered considerably. This way, a Nexus can be closed with fewer people. Encouraging players to split up. Which, in turn, will mean less lag!
Now, I know what you are thinking. If we split up -- We'll get even fewer rewards! But wait! There's more!
In addition to all this, a BIG reward should be given out to all participants when all Nexuses are closed in a zone. And by big reward, I mean 'big'. So, large enough to be more profitable than what can be gained by roaming the zone, getting a Nexus to stage 3, and moving on before closing it. (As people are doing now.)

I looked for this post, ready to state my own opinion on the Nexuses but it seems there is quite a lot of backlash here already.

I recently hit 60, and was set and ready to go to PVP. But since I feared I would not fair against geared players, I want to equip myself with PVP gear of my own.

Then I find out the Nexus schedule. It's a big slap in my face. Really? Not everyone has weekends off. I actually only get days off during the middle of the week. When there are no Nexus events.
So I am quite unhappy that a game I play to PVP in, I can't at level cap because I cannot attend the event to get my gear so i can PVP.

Fantastic.

Actually I don't see much reason for it to not be once a day at the same time? You could leave the current schedule for weekends alone but have it daily at the same times so it's harder to miss. May suck if nobody goes to it though during the times. Prob why it's scheduled.. nvm then sorry for rambling lol
