Boggles my mind as to why anyone cares whether it's gold-silver-bronze or just one fat number. "That no one asked for it is [just irrelevant]." Change for the better, imo, but still doesn't make my point any less valid.

Well, "de gustibus non est disputandum" - but I'd say people generally prefer simple, logical & space efficient 3-digit grouping:

347,856,176,714

to bloated, mixed 2 and 3 digit grouping with coin symbols stuffed in between:

34,785,617o67o14

Sure it's just an ornamental change - the real and big coffin's nails are elsewhere (LFD, halfassed lazy PvP changes, pets removal, lottery changes with little/no consideration to side effects, and so on). It does leave sour taste in the mouth though - especially after CM's official excuses that make no sense (as usual). And when simple and banal things asked over and over again are nowhere to be seen. A few of them from top of my mind:

- launcher: "remember username / password"
- option knobs: including but not limited to: vsync, fps smoothing, dof, blur, bloom, classic aa, culling distance
- modifiers usable with mouse buttons
- ability to designate some keys as virtual modifiers
- crippled uniode coverage compared to kr fonts (the font - ironically - shipped with the client)
- terrible font quality and its scaling (self fixable in 15 seconds by 1 file swap)
- chat filter checkbox
- kr voiceovers checkbox
- ability to mark part of inventory/bank as sticky/locked to exclude from sorting
- ability to autodisable player request notifications (party, etc.) while in combat
- ability to define / turnoff certain implicit and often irritating chains (e.g. evade -> vortex slash)
- ability to lock/unlock 'N' on radar map
- customization: separate horn/tails/hairs
- customization: body sliders (width, breasts, etc.)
- configurable CD bar (not all or nothing like now)

This is just a mere few. Things repeated for months and in some cases for years. Things that are not controversial and for the most part not problematic.

It will be there. I'm pretty sure the beta client was using the patch right before backstep was implemented.

Hello, TERA players—Vekas the Wicked Tree here. You may remember me from the Island of Dawn. You know...the place where YOU KILLED ME. (You murderer!) Supposedly I didn't live up to the whole "wicked tree" thing, so En Masse is making me deliver these patch notes. I know it's punishment, but it's also my REVENGE! You're about to read about new instances WHERE YOU WILL DIE. About new groups you can ally with THAT WILL PROBABLY BETRAY YOU IN THE END. About nexuses—interdimensional places THAT WILL BE YOUR DOOM. There's a new playable prologue THAT WILL PROBABLY MAKE YOU PEE YOUR PANTS. You'll even read about new skills, new gear, and NEW WAYS I SHALL HAVE THE LAST LAUGH, MORTAL. Hundreds of changes—NONE OF WHICH WILL SAVE YOU IN THE END.

There, all done. Can I have some pigling now?

Check out the full patch notes for Patch 17.25.01 on our Patch Notes page!

OMG I read the part about peeing my pants and nearly did pee them laughing. Keep up the humour I love it :D

1) Maybe they don't want to have people set to remember their username and password? I've seen many other games that don't give you the option, or that go even further by requiring an extra password or pin number.

2) Would be nice to have, but aren't needed or game-breaking in any way.

3) See #2.

4) Please, name me some games that actually do this. I'll wait. In the meantime, see #2.

5) I agree with you on this one.

6) See #5.

7) See #5.

8) See #2.

9) See #4.

10) See #5.

11) I have asked to be able to have the skill chains be fully customizable before, but people don't see the point of it. At the end of the day, see #2.

12) See #5.

13) See #5.

14) Here's the thing: with the way the game is currently made, this wouldn't be possible in any easy manner. TERA follows what most games do and has one model used for each parts of the character. It doesn't do like some games do of having the base character model and then to add an armor model to be attached and rendered on top of that. Mostly because, honestly for an action game, the faster/smoother the game runs, the better. Also, they never intended there to be body sliders since, as with what people do in most games that allow it, you'll have Aman the size of Elins, Elins/Popori the size of Aman/Baraka, people picking the lowest sliders for everything except the largest breast sliders, etc... The wanted to have a particular style for their characters and their armor models, so they did what would be the best for the game. With the way it is now, if they added anything for the body, it would be pre-selected body types and would increase the amount of characters models needed by however many different types they have. Take a look at the different body types in GW2 as an example. Honestly, I can barely see a difference with the characters wearing no armor. Pop a layer of armor on and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It it's going to be that subtle, no point having it at all.
TL;DR: If you don't like the above, see #2.

15) See #2.

Really, years?

That's odd, considering it isn't out yet for NA and EU, and the kTERA release was Jan 25, 2011. Who am I kidding though, 1 year and 3 months is more than enough to say it has been "years", right? Especially if you consider that most of those probably haven't really been said during kTERA and have more than likely only surfaced recently during the Closed Beta Tests, which started in February of this year.

Really though, no point cutting hairs, right? Especially when they are used to exaggerate your own goals! ^_^

New mounts with a speed of 280 have been added, including Black Leopard (highest reward in reputation system), Death Charger (nexus achievement), Nexus Warhorse (nexus reputation), Aeolian Zebra (reward in level 60 hard-mode instances), Shadow Steed (reward for level 60 story quest).

WOOT!! May TERA be the first MMO I play where I hit the level a cap so I can get the pretty mounts! :O)

In all honesty every MMO has this same issues (well not exactly the same) regardless of the company behind them. I sorry folks people have alot of good intention and good will. Just because changes dont happen at the time you expect them to happen does not mine the devs are "lazy" or "don't care at all". Coding is a tough field and not for the weak of heart as you work as a team on projects which project manager dictates as much more important. Hell even the project manager's boss wants to see what he/she wants done in the manner that was ask. I work in IT field and regardless about how much you want to make improvements in areas you feel are better time spent; you still have to be "coherent" to the demands of your superior/boss/leader/etc. Don't trip give them time they have enough stuff on there plates with people expectations from the industry and where to move once launch occurs. Its like you must have a backup plan for the backup plan, and I think Enmasse is still in preparations for the up hill battle in the MMO genre. Just give it a bit more time.

P.S.- Look at Trion's RIFT still changing core functions/mechanics after a year, that game is NOTHING like it was at launch.

I think further I must mention that hardcore gamers aren't the majority gamers anymore in the MMO world. As technology has gotten cheaper in recent times and things become more digital/computerized where even grandma has to use a computer from time to time things evolve. Enmasse at the end of the day is there to make profit selling a product that it hopes consumers of pc games enjoy. Thats why the push for the "REAL ACTION COMBAT" and other monikers have been said thus far as this game hopes to change what people though of playing MMOs. Gone are the days of Everquest style MMOs and soon WoW style ones as well. The industry is evolving in how it plays these games. Unfortunately, the only problem is the casual gamers attitude everyone is in a quick rush for epic gear/etc which makes the devs work even harder to not make the grind from lvl 1-cap not so much a grind but then make the endgame interesting for several months after if not yrs. HARD STUFF to do folks to keep content interesting in the genre that its in, hell its only so much you can do while keeping it in the fantasy-style format. Just saying...
