I would like to know what the hell happened however. It's like some omnipotent being is conspiring against EME, throwing everything it has at their disposal at our favorite blues.

/tinfoil hat. Gubment took mah baybeh!

I dont see what the big deal is, i looked at the physical CE and said.... Ya know what i just dont need any of that s###. The in game stuff matters more to me, just more clutter that youll never use and will just sit around while you play lol.

I understand that some people are limited with their bandwidth but im sure if we/you asked they could set up some torrents to download the game in sections beforehand. Just my opinion.
It will be nice memorabilia though, especially if you have a lot of fond memories of the game. For example, I purchased the original Collectors Edition for World of Warcraft, which came with with a game art book, a cloth map, dvd, signed manual, and some other stuff; as well as 3 in game pets. The in game pets were awesome at first, but after a while you just stopped using the one you picked. Now though, when ever I see the cloth map or the dvd in my dvd case I remember all the great times I had back then.

TERA will hopefully offer the same exact thing - the mounts we may use for a while, but the other items will certainly be banked rather quickly. The physical items will always remain though, and each time I see them I'd like to be reminded me how awesome it was to first explore the world of TERA, and the friends I met along the way.

One thing I dislike is a lack of communication. It's kind of a shame it got to this point, but EME is actually doing a remarkable job of keeping us informed. $#it happens, at least they're making an effort to compensate.

I'll be keeping my patcher open as long as possible on the off-chance it helps someone download. ;)

Hello TERA fans waiting to score a physical collector's edition,

You've been super patient and we have an update to share with you. We will be executing a contingency plan in the next 24 to 48 hours to circumvent the issue of retailers not having the physical collector's edition available in time for the first closed beta test.

We will keep you guys updated.

I have a solution! Give everyone that hasn't preordered from En Masse, Beta keys that are good for just this weekends, Closed beta event!

Thank you! D:
I have been checking retail online sites and twitter + tera's site every single day, multiple times a day for the past 2 weeks for the physical collectors edition!

Good to hear but I can honestly let you know in 24-48 hours it will be to late. You will have yourself and even bigger problem with people raging and complaining that it took you too long and now instead of playing in the first CBT they are downloading the game and using the time patching the client.

I'm not the one to call the shots here but giving hopes of any sort of "contingency plan" just sounds like it is going to backfire.

Best of luck.

You did know EnMass before stated that issue can always pop up and some people might miss the 1st round of CBT

Good news to hear, but I am still concerned as to what this contingency plan is, especially since it involved 3rd parties and verification of a purchase that technically cannot be made. Still, it is good to know that EME is working on the issues, as I have no desire to order a product I don't want (digital edition) to Beta test a game that I am willing to pay for extra for.

Thank you for letting us know. I hate how so many people have their panties in a bunch when you guys are at least keeping us informed, unlike most companies.

I, like many others, decided to just order the digital CE so I could play in the first CBT. I really wanted the physical CE, but I'd rather play than have the items, so I'll be cancelling my pre-order at GameStop unless there truly is a way to cancel the digital CE purchase once the physical copy is finally available... I really do like that the physical CE has an additional mount (I'm a sucker for those *sighs*). Anyway, we'll see right?

Again, thank you for keeping us informed :)
