That Federation Handbook is really disappointing. The picture in the advertisement below is clearly a hardcover book that's probably at least an inch thick. What they're sending people is a two-staple pamphlet with a handful of pages. I don't understand why we allow game companies to get away with that sort of deceptive practice.



And that map in that image is folding more like cloth than the paper it actually is. (sigh) I remember when CE's used to actually contain cloth maps.

It was next to impossible to get any detailed information on the physical items inside the CE. Now I understand why.

What's more annoying is that Tera EU was shown exactly what they would get in their CE, and got exactly what they were shown. Unlike us in the U.S., who were shown one thing and then given something very different. Is that even legal?

Screw that, I got mine in the mail yesterday, and I loved every bit of it!! I actually expected the map to be made of poster paper - that was a nice surprise to see it was much thicker/sturdier. The box is very beautiful as well!!

No.

That's because the thing you are referring to is what the collector's edition items are in.

Did you even look at a real collector's edition package?

Did they say that the box that was there was specifically the handbook? No.

I'm talking about the book on the far right as displayed in the image above, genius. Not the box everything is packed in. They look nothing alike. Note the *pages* between the *hardcover binding* in that image. How is this confusing to you?

I got my CE and I gotta say that I too was disappointed. I actually had to go back and exchange my first CE because the compass had a bunch of leftover metal that was on the lid so it couldn't close. And what is with the book, even on the back of the box itself it CLEARLY shows a almost 1 inch thick HARDCOVER book, and the map that's underneath all of this stuff on the back is DEFINITELY NOT paper it looks like cloth. I remember this also happened with Skyrim, they said we'd get a cloth map and we got the same sort of weird papery map thing. Also there's PLENTY of space left in the box if you just let everything sit lower, so why is the soundtrack bundled with the install discs and not in a separate case? This CE is nice, but a big let down from what we were told we would get.
