TERA Gathering Points Coming Soon!

Because TERA’s players are so enthusiastic about the political system, we’re adding new elements to the world so you can clash against your rivals–either with forceful words or force of arms.

In the next patch, you’ll find a podium in Velika for political debates, landmarks for guild-versus-guild (GvG) battles, and rings for duels and deathmatches. These landmarks, rings, and podium are not interactive objects, but they’re great places to congregate whether you favor reasoned debate or all-out mayhem.

Adding these gathering points is an important early step as we listen to the community and implement changes, so we wanted to add them to the world of TERA as soon as possible. As the political system matures and more players get involved, we’ll consider adding additional features.

Take a look on our blog post for more screenshots!

Nice to see a little more spice being added to the outside of Velika. :)

I can't help but think there could be some ideas put into place in these areas, you could have an NPC placed inside the deathmatch/arena spot outside Velika and two guilds could go inside and the guildleaders both talk to the NPC and through him you can setup a GuildvsGuild point based deathmatch or just a kill all deathmatch. Once it starts the outside borders of the arena a forcefield is summoned like the Blue Kumas boss in BT. You can run in but not out.

Point based deathmatch - You set an amount of points and a time limit, when people die from each respective side they resurrect outside the forcefield for their side and can run back in if they wish, one point per kill, winner is decided once point limit is reached or when time runs out.

Kill all - When you die you stay dead and can not resurrect until one team has nobody left. The winner is obviously the team with a player(s) still alive.

Just throwing out ideas, anyone else feel free to contribute.

Minea, If this is possible bring it up with the dev team, it sounds like a VERY good idea!

"are not interactive objects" so uh... do they do nothing at all? Just new landscape? Cause if that's the case, that sounds pretty pointless and a waste of resources.

Not sure about the rest of the community, but the roleplay server sure is going to love this.

I'm with this guy. Where is my Zerker patch so I can stop playing second fiddle to all the other melee DPS?

This title is elusive. I came here thinking: "What do I have to gather points for? Where do I gather them?"
Then I realized I don't gather points. Points gather me.

This is going to be funny stuff on the RP servers.
