This is not entirely addressed towards you specifically but I'm going to quote your post anyways.
On the contrary, adults using fallacies to trivialize other posters is the real problem. There are two points of facts you should consider before making such baseless insinuations. Number 1, this is a korean port. We know the content is there. Some of it is already on our machines. Like crafting quests, they were turned off for no apparent reason with launch, although it seems clear that they are going to be reintroduced as some convoluted event some time in the future like lucky eggs are. Point number 2, many of us very well do know how to add content to tera or at least how easy it would be. This game is running the unreal 3 engine, there are entire communities dedicated to modding games running this engine http://www.moddb.com/engines/unreal-engine-3. This is no industry secret that requires hands of experience exclusively at bluehole or enmasse. It seems, as usual on the internet, when someone makes a baseless accusation on the internet it is usually a reflection of the posters own personal habits, beliefs, or feelings.
En mass is sitting on content and inconveniencing us for the sake of drawing out subscription fees. This is another reason korean mmos tend to fail in the west. While eastern players have the option of paying by the hour, and therefore the developers are motivated to provide content that get people to log on, we have a subscription based model. And a subscription based model benefits from inconveniencing players and then dangling carrots in front of them in order to milk another month's subscription fee out of them. Notice how all our "big" updates so far have been at the end of the month? I expect that trend to continue for quite some time.
The fact is, something like meeting points and player guides are a misapplication of resources. They are non-content that are added not for our benefit or because we want/asked for them, but rather to encourage new players to buy the game and sign up. A current player already knows about popori, a current player already knows the political system doesnt need meeting places. But a non-customer does not. So they see these news announcements and get unrealistic expectations and pop 50-60 dollars down for what is basically a pack of lies. This is useful for short term gains but extremely detrimental to the growth and longevity of the game as a whole and the community. It's 2012, we've seen this same disastrous marketing strategy in many other korean mmos, ones specifically worked on by many of the people at en mass before. Do we really need to repeat history? Instead of intentionally sabotaging their own product and community with a marketing technique that they know is not a viable long term solution, why not try something else?
Gotta laugh at the people saying stuff like "we want battlegrounds not STUPID MEETING POINTS STUPID!!" as though En Masse is diverting resources away from the end of summer patch to implement these. They use existing art assets and aren't interactive objects, it likely took 10-15 minutes to do this. It's a very minor addition that will nonetheless please RPers/event organizers: that's it. Acting as though En Masse is presenting this as a replacement for real content like BGs is embarrassing and childish. I honestly can't tell if people actually believe that or they just want to turn any developer post into a soap box for unrelated issues.
If anyone does actually believe this somehow delays other content, I recommend educating yourself on how game development works. Companies like En Masse/Bluehole are massive entities with employees that have very specialized roles. Thinking that implementing this delays BGs is akin to thinking creating new advertisements delays BGs. Come to think of it, I think I've actually seen someone try and make a connection there too... sigh.
