Since you can only vote once per account, we are capped at 300 accounts, which means running for 1 Vanarchy at 300 votes or 2 at 150, or 3 at 100. By the time you get down to those 100 - 150 vote sizes there is plenty of competition on Freeholds that would make the outcome uncertain.

There will be people that run 2 or more accounts, and thus effectively have 2+ votes per person. Since it is a single vote per server per account, there is nothing stopping a live person from subbing multiple times to get multiple votes.

So while you are limited to 300 votes per guild, there may be alternate accounts put in alternate guilds that can help vote for another province.

That applies to anyone though. If you had enough cash and spare time, you could pay for 300 accounts and make your own capped guild. A small guild of 10 RL friends could all get 2 accounts to have 20 votes, double their voting power!

Large guilds might have a higher likelihood of containing a dual-account member, but the odds of any one person running multiple accounts are just as likely regardless of guild size, and it is rare enough overall to not have a significant statistical effect on the voting.

Eventually, it would be nice to see PvP play a bigger role in the politics of TERA. Democracy is cool and all, but a weak democracy should be susceptible to hostile takeovers, and change. Politics and PvP for a more interesting tomorrow! xD

Second time stating this: when BGs get re-added, they'll be another way to become a Vanarch.

What im more interested in is how will the people not in control be affected? Why do i care whos in charge if its not me? Just a question i thought should be asked since not everyone can be that special person therefore how does this affect the majority of people?

Um... I wanna point this out, everyone is complaining about how the zerg guilds will rule, but this and pretty much every other thread mentioning zerg guilds in existence is proof theres a pretty big community that DOSN'T want zerg guilds in power >.>

If you don't want a zerg in power, will you vote for one? Probably not. Everyone on this thread complaining about zergs is just the demographic the smaller guilds need to win. Also as several people have stated, zergs arn't the only guilds who can set up alliances. Its possible. Very possible in fact. Quit worrying and get to work!

It's now 4 days to the 18th - candidacy registration for Vanarch, and there's still no Politics page in the Game Guide. Would really like to have an "official" list of abilities the Vanarch will possess prior to that date. I've been reading other mmo sites, but stil, i'd like to have it from EME. :) ty

One rumor i read ( http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/TERA-The-Exiled-Realm-of-Arborea/news/E3-Details-released-regarding-TERA-Onlines-Political-System ) was that the Vanarch can make rules for the province and if you break them, an NPC will put your character in prison.
