Why only guild leaders?...this means it will basically be the same people running for v positions over and over.

If I can make 241g over the open beta and spend it all on crafting then a small guild with the required 20 members can make 3k gold and pay the registration fee.

I don't think that's too high or too low. It's a good start.
Lets go through an election or two before we burn down the house to spite the kitchen sink.

How the hell you made 241g? The most I gotten to was 15 gold, and I try to save that, I barely buy campfire let alone use it.

Poor turtles... they were just trying to lay their eggs!

This [filtered] sucks. Keep it off until BG's are in. You're screwing so many guilds -_-

It's like real politics, only the candidates backed by super rich 'campaign donations' are going to be able to run.

To answer a couple questions...it's 1 Vote per province [15 votes in all for each separate election]. In KTera I'm pretty sure the votes were PER ACCOUNT as well, rather than per character. So you can't log out and create a bunch of level 1 guys to vote for a friend.

Yes, it's only Guild Leaders that can run. And yes, especially if the requirements are going to be this high...we're going to be stuck with the same people running over and over again for a looooong time. Unguilded lone-wolf individuals cannot run at all. :(

To those that want it off until BGs not to "screw people over", when Battlegrounds get added and linked to the Vanarch system, you'll be able to take things over just as it worked in kTERA before. In the meantime, no point having people missing out on the things that Vanarchs bring to the game.

Considering the amount of work it requires to run the province, I highly doubt any lone-wolf would be able to handle the position. Granted, if you are so awesome that you would be able to not only maintain your Vanarch position, but actually bring about all the perks, ALONE, then it should be easy for you to get popular vote into the position.

I understand how alliances will be important here then. My concern is that the zerg/troll guilds will just create dummy guilds and vote them into power in every province or as many as they can. If they were limited to 1 vote throughout all provinces they could only hope to control a handful at best and it would allow smaller guilds at least a chance at a position of power. I guess we'll see and in the meantime the zerg/troll guilds will become stupidly wealthy and be able to bankroll dummy accounts by buying the game time scrolls and buying more provinces. Good times.

I hope it doesn't take more than two weeks, to get elections going. Towns already have no trainers, or special vendors.....

"Who can vote?

Vanarchs are elected by popular vote. Any character of level 20 or higher is eligible to vote, but your account is limited to one vote per server."

These contradict.

Guild LEader can be transfered between guild members when you upgrade a persons rank.

Also, I have no interest in running but omg does this sound exciting.

Mmm, not necessarily. Say for example you get only one vote per server per province. The character itself simply needs to be L20 or higher, doesn't matter which, they're saying. That said, it unfortunately still then doesn't weed out the zerg guilds who will create a guild of alts that thereby go after a second territory within the same term. In order to block that, they'd have to make it so that there'd be a LOT more checking... checking for what though, I'm not even certain, since pretty well anything voting-based can and will be rigged.
