Rip MCA !

"Now my name is M.C.A. - I've got a license to kill
I think you know what time it is - it's time to get ill
Now what do we have here - an outlaw and his beer
I run this land, you understand - I make myself clear."

Youll be missed !

Yeah it has alot to do with Tera... Didn't you know, The Beastie Boys wrote all the music for this game.

Thousands of people die every day. One death is no more important than the next. Just because some dude wrote music and became famous (crappy music at that), dosen't make his death anymore important or notable than the average grandmother/father or sibbling etc.

He Will be missed. Where ever he went, its a bit funkier now. Actually his death is more notable because he affected a lot of people and helped define a generation of music. More people WANT to know MCA died because they like him, hence it makes news. It doesn't make his life more important it just makes his death felt across more people.

You are correct when referring to yourself. Please do not try to speak for the entire population when there are others who would disagree. I can only speak for myself, but in my personal view, there are differing degrees of importance in regards to death. A person's life is measured by those that he/she affected. When that person dies, those affect that are still living are affected by the death of that person. Each person will hold a personal level of importance to that death.

Case in point, Martin Luther King's death was viewed as more important to many people than Malcolm X's death. Conversely, some people viewed Malcolm X's death as more important than Martin Luther King's death. It's all a matter of perspective.

To bring it back on track, the tank dying is more important than a dps dying in a dungeon to me because if the tank goes down, the healer is going down soon after. If a dps goes down, the mob will take longer to kill, but it won't be an instant group wipe.

You totally missed the point of my post. One human being death is no more important than the next. I agree it can have different impacts on peoples personal perspective. But fundementally speaking, it's just another poor soul that died.

It's kinda like birthdays is that day really that significant? thousands of people are born everyday, it dosen't make that day any more special. Same with people dieing. Yes it can affect a certain amount of the population, big or small, but it dosen't make it any more sugnificant than any other.

The logic you are using it the same one of "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" But when you take away the emotional aspect.. it's just another death. One of many every single day.

I am not trying to sound cold or callous. Just making a point that we (as a society) seem to put emphasis or sensationalize the famous. The brother of the common person that just died due to a heart attack is just as meanigfull, but you never hear about it. It is trivalized cause he wasn't famous.

he brother of the common person that just died due to a heart attack is just as meanigfull,

But it isn't as meaningful, to me, if some random guy died, compared to someone possibly influential to me - even though it is just another person dead.

Should it be equally meaningful to me personally? We can debate that, but doesn't change the fact, it isn't equally meaningful.

My parents dying, is infinitely more important than your parents dying to me - that is the facts of life.

So threads relating to death of famous people are usually MORE notable, as more people are interested in it.

To conclude - whatever point you was trying to put across in your post was highly irrelevant.
