A lot of the positive reviews seem like Blizzard employee sock puppets artificially producing 5 star reviews to balance out the large number of negative ones they received.

From what I've heard and noticed it's D2 with new graphics and no potions.

Anyone who purchased D3 is it good? Or is it all hype?

Adding the Popori quote was a very clever idea :P I can see that phrase being used on the internet for a long time. With that said, I never thought D3 could live up to it's hype in the first place. Gamers are pretty dissatisfied as a whole. We're all looking for the next WoW to literally devour our lives and on some level we expect that from every new game. Sadly when our wishes are not fulfilled the rage takes over. I bought it tonight and will play it, but not because I think it's the next big thing. I just need something to do.

With that said the guy at Gamestop told me not to trade anything with a certain NPC or the entire server would crash and I wouldn't be able to get back in. Seems developers like to rush games these days and pay for it dearly.

Dude, this game is going to get bad reviews if they don't change their mind and get rid of that rediculous f**king(yeah I cursed I'm that pissed) Premium shop.

You might as well as call this game TERAblo 4.

I purchased it and I think it's a great game. It's not spectacular, but great nonetheless! It's funny seeing how so many 1-star reviews has to do with Battle.net than Diablo 3.

I really shouldn't knock it until I've tried it, but it just looks SO underwhelming on the gameplay vids.

Appearance change and weapon skins have nothing to do with gameplay. Also we knew there would be a cash shop from the beginning.

Diablo's Real Money Auction House is by far the worst milestone for video gaming I can imagine. It crosses the line from playing for fun to playing for money. When you do something for money, it is now essentially a job. You can say 'just ignore it', but for most people they won't be able to ignore it, I know I wouldn't be able to. And if you plan on pvping in their arenas endgame, it will 100% be pay-to-win. This to me is unacceptable and it may prevent me from even trying the game.

Tera on the other hand is still a unique game with no pay-to-win features. The vanarch system will be starting tomorrow and more content will likely be added in the next couple weeks (nexus, training grounds).

Then you just don't like dungeon crawlers.

It seems like most who give this game bad reviews are of a similar standpoint I had on BF3, great game but origin was awful, this seems like people are having similar launching/connecting issues from the Battle.net servers. With no offline options I can see how some people are feeling short changed. 40EUR for a game you can't play when you choose to play.

I don't read reviews or listen to critics as I don't trust them but out of the 3 games, D3, Tera, GW2, D3 seemed to be the most "quiet" (as people just dismissed it for the RMT) while TERA and GW2 fans seem to bash each other but D3 had one hell of an opening. There were worldwide release events, celebrations, conventions, the game sold out in Taiwan according to my long distance friend who can't get his hands on one and in Europe it's going nuts.

Blizzard too good.

Also wasn't there that other game where the in-game currency was pretty much irl money and people were making thousands off of virtual goods.
