And do you hold _____ Mmo as your standard?
I actually played Flyff as my first MMO. So my standard were set pretty low. (I started playing when cap was 70/80 so very early on.)
I always compare games to it... Makin it very easy to love games. (except wow, i could never get into it for some reason.)

As for what's my standard, WoW will always be my standard until something better than it comes out. 8 years later and WoW is still the most balanced game on the market. It doesn't have incredible graphics, the combat is 8 years old, but it has literally something for everyone. I would go back if I could find the right guild, but I gave up on that. I raided in the top 1% of the WoW player base, but I'm also very social. I kept running into guilds with people that were incredibly fun to hang with, but sucked at the game. Then I'd leave to play with players of my skill level and I was miserable because everyone was a douche. /sigh.

Let's see.. played Runescape back in 7th grade when it still had crappy 2d cartoon characters... lost interest for a few years and went back for a while in high school, becoming a Member for a while... then a friend introduced me to WoW and I left Runescape behind to play a level 5 paladin wielding a skinning knife because I couldn't learn to use swords until level 10. Sometimes I miss the days when I was a nooblet. That's a kind of feeling you can't really get back once you've become used to a genre.


Had a few lapses in the middle where I went to play a few lame F2P games but they never lasted long. Not when they were either horrid grindfests (albeit nowhere close to Runescape), filled with pay to win garbage, unfun to play, or some combination of the three. Maybe I'll go back to WoW someday. Maybe not. Who can tell? I do have a huge collection of pets and mounts, and funny hats, waiting for me there.

im an old wow player from wayyyy back when.. im about to try Tera for the first time in 7 hours because its still downloading. WoW is awesome, i will probably always play, due to the friends base i have there, but I just need something a little more difficult to play. WoW has become so dumbed down its almost an insomnia cure
