People will have to wait and see how ncsoft goes about gw2, it is not areanet you need to pay attention to.

Honestly its GW toxic fan base that made me think, hmm... i don't think I wanna play this game. Its like the next big thing to come out and when it does it'll be over and done with in a month, and in 6 months it'll have its set fan base but no one else will give it a second look at the local game store.

Its a niche game, its for pvp'ers and that's all that will want to play it. That's fine, its like Swtor, on Star Wars fans wanted to play that mmo and we see how that's turned out. Sure GW may sell some copies but at the end of the day it won't be any more impressive than the next mmo.

I've been playing The Secret World Closed Beta, I can say I have truly enjoy my experience but I don't think it'll be the end all be all of all mmo's. And GW2 just like TSW, just like Tera, it'll be nice to see a new mmo on the market but it won't be the king and it won't even be the WoW killer. People will play it and move on. In the end nobody really cares.

oh. my. lord.

NCSOFT HAS NO SWAY OVER ANYTHING ARENANET DOES OR ANYTHING GW2 RELATED!

why is this still coming up!?

arenanet is a self providing subsidiary of ncsoft, meaning ncsoft will give money to help arenanet get started on projects, like GW2, as long as the name "NCsoft" is added to GW2. BUT IT CANT ACTUALLY INFLUENCE GW2 AT ALL!

so ill repeat what Valesca said.... GOOD THING ARENANET ISNT A GARBAGE COMPANY! :D

Tell that to all the old bioware fans.

Don't spout things you know little about.

I loled.

P2P will still be around. But it doesn't mean an instant seal of 90%-100% quality status just because a game is P2P. There were a few games out on the market that were P2P and absolutely sucked or just later on converted to F2P or some other purchase model.

The market is changing lol. Jobs and real-life commitments become more strenuous. Money can be going elsewhere than a monthly subscription and or cash-shop. Not to mention those who don't even have the money(anymore?) to be playing monthly subscription games anyway.
