The ending wasn't particularly bad. It's just most people's first response is an emotional one, and for those who became invested in the characters in the story to see them wiped out with no possible recourse may be a tough pill to swallow. The series had to end somehow, I just think a lot of people prefer rainbows and unicorns to unhappy endings. I am good with either, usually, but I would have rather had a different ending, too. I didn't have the necessary resources so my Shep 'died', but at least my Liara lived, and Traynor :)


I think it is more because the ending was weak and there was little variation on how you played out the game. All the pathways ended up just getting you to the same if not similar location.

Which is a real shame!

Yeah seems to me Bioware was trying to get people to ponder what happens, just like David Chase did with 'The Soprano's' ending heh.
