I've ran it off both, there's really no difference.

Then you were doing something wrong.

I have Tera installed on SSD and there is virtually no loading time. It's a worthy upgrade.

After I migrated to an Intel SATA controller, yeah the loading times have been pretty damn good.

Probably a cheap ssd and an mediocre/outdated sata controller that can't handle the SSD

If you lives in canada, you can check out ncix.com, they are having a weekly sale on some SDD, pretty good deal IMO..but it ends today.

if you want quicker load time, but not the coast, just buy a Hybrid drive.

they are less costly, more space then all SSDs, loads faster then all HHD's

for those who don't know what the hybrid drive is.

I bought two SSD's (OCZ and a corsair) and ive gotten nothing but BSOD's. I cant even do anything off of them for 20sec. Ive updated firmware, bios, and even done some troubleshoot guides and same thing. They Blue screen and cause windows to crash then i need to reinstall windows(3times its happened). So i'll stick with HDD or wait and get the Intel SSD(sure fire one since i have an i7-2600k)

This game isn't load intensive, now if you want to compare SSD/HDD on something like BF3 between map changes, then yes the SSD kills the HDD. But for TERA there's no real difference, and as the OP asked specifically for TERA...

An SSD is the biggest upgrade you can get if you have a PC that is within a couple of years old. Unfortunately, to maximize the newer SSDs you need a SATA 6Gb/s capable motherboard, but those are becoming more ubiquitous. SATAII will work, but will hold the SSD back some.
Just don't go cheap and make sure to read reviews! There are a lot of bad ones out there.

Well, SSD's do give off less heat, which is always nice. :P

I am looking at a Corsair 120GB SSD right now......minus your feelings about corsair, my question is this.....do i re-install tera on the SSD and keep everything else on my regular HHD? how does the conversion work, i guess is what i am asking. i would only be putting games on the SSD as the "save point" and everything else on the HHD right?
