I typed in gtx 680 and nothing relevant showed up on the search so just asking here about the card's performance with Tera. How is the FPS? Any scenic flashing problem like with the HD Radeon 7970?

TERA should be absolutely fine on a GTX 680 on max settings. Just make sure you have at least a 2500k because this game will get 15-20fps without a decent processor even if you have the 680.

I was thinking of getting the http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0388577 for a new build but would Tera take advantage of http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0376491

No game utilizes hyperthreading.

And ivy bridge runs hot when overclocked, you will need a nice cooler.

I have a GTX 680 and I can't run the game for more than a few seconds after the character select screen before the game freezes. When I Google "GTX 680" and "TERA" together, I see results mentioning fps problems and people mentioning that new drivers may be needed for the card to run the game better. I've submitted a ticket about this, but haven't gotten a response back yet, which is a shame because I got this card along with an i5 3570k (running at 4.2GHz) to play this game on settings higher than 1. Also, a weird side-effect I'm experiencing after the game freezes is that the video card won't go past a 540 MHz clock rate until I restart my computer. The card runs fine in my stress tests and is great outside of TERA, but I can't really tell you how it runs this game, personally.

I have a Gigabyte 670 gtx with the latest drivers (May 22nd 2012). It runs very well with a steady 45-80fps depending on the area. One tip would be to go into the .ini file and re-enable PhysX as it will give you a good 15fps boost in performance from what I've seen. Infact there's a lot you can do in the .ini files to increase the quality of the game but you have to be careful because while the game has so much detail down to the point where you can see Velkia from two zones away doing things such as increasing antiscopic filtering can be murder on your frame rate. I would suggest leaving it at x4 and maybe going as high as x8 if you have a good SLI setup. I'm still in the process of tweeking the .ini and overclocking my card correctly but I'm trying to get to the point where I have all zones locked at 60fps.

Running fine on my 680, Nexus excluded of course.

Few ini tweaks, latest drivers, that's about it.
