Time After Tera CB1!

Well I plan to start on my big project, which is tring to build a SUPER GAMING RIG.

My main goal is to get the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC (not this Computer, my old mid-range PC) all to fit inside 2 full tower or 2 mid-tower cases connected together.... I want to do this becuase I am a photographer IRL and i travel alot, I really want to play some Tera, Skyrim, Fallout, Minecraft, ect... at the hotels i spend my nights at, and before you say ise a laptop, if you game on one you know how annoying it can be trying to find a plug near a desk in a hotel. Also I like traveling with all my gaming systems so I can play on consoles with my co-workers when needed.

Also A main reason is carrying one BAR (Bad A** Rig... Name Subject to change) in a suitcase is alot easier than hauling 4 delicate systems around.

So What do you guys think of this project, If I got it all put together In a sexy looking durable case (it wont look like a peice of garbage thrown together) for under $800 (not including Game systems) would you guys/girls enjoy seeing some pics of IT.

Also What Are your plans?

haha you serious? 4 different systems in 1 ''portable'' device. It may fit in one rig but you won't be able to carry it around with you cause it's gonna be hella heavy.

a good gaming rig for tera is going to run you maybe more than 800$...
putting all your consoles into 1 tower is also a bad idea.. something gets messed up in 1.. how do you fix it? how many warranties did you break to get the consoles in there..
honestly i think its going to boil down to you choosing one before your trips.. or getting all of your games on PC.. because all the games you listed... are available on the pc... and these days you can even plug your wired ps3 and xbox controllers into the computer and play skyrim and fallout on them... let alone tera!!

Let me make this clear, I have my (old phat PS3, past warranty), (my old xbox 360, way past warranty), (my old mid-range PC, can run BF3 @ 35fps on Ultra), (my Wii, who cares I never use it anyway) ... On second thought I will not add Wii, I'll give to my GF's 8yr old brother, since I have a kind heart ;) ....

Anyway I also have my VAST knowledge of computers and technology in general. Now CaptainSilas said it would be heavy, when in actuality it won't be. I'm not putting the systems Case in all in the PC case, only the motherboards and Disc Drives. It will all be powered by ONE 2000+ Watt PSU, and cooled by a custom rigged water Cooling Unit and A few case fans.

For price the only things I gotta buy are the Case, PSU, and A few fans. I also might buy a 17 inch Ultra thin monitor and mount it on the side of the case to make it truly portable.

For the finished product I'll have a machine (not weighing more than a ps3 and xbox 360 on top of each other) with a screen mounted on the side that can be slid off and put on a desk and One retractable power cord. I might also just put wheels and a suitcase handle on it so I can roll it behind me, with a handle on top so i can lift it onto a desk when needed (if needed).

So I roll it in a hotel room, slide off the 17 inch screen and put it on a desk, plug the screen and case in, hook up keyboard and mouse (like you do on every other laptop). Start up the BAR (Big [filtered] Rig) and go to town.

I know your thinking why not just use a laptop and play everygame you want. Well my answer is:
Consoles = Group of friends Gaming
PC = Lonewolf Gamer
I've been traveling around the world for 4 years now (I'm 17 going on 18 btw, born in France) and I've made numerous friends that like gaming and when I visit we play on consoles, but when I'm alone I prefer the PC. ~~~ Why do things the boring and simple way, when you can do it the fun and extravagant way. ~~~ When people in a caf'e pu;; out there small laptops im gonna whip out the BAR. LOL

So what you're essentially saying, is that when you travel, you're generally in cold areas, and you want two heaters with you at all time?

Hey thats not a bad idea at all, I could mass produce it and sell it for triple the price saying it doubles as a heater. ;)
Also to be honest with you I just want to build it because, I like doing things out of the ordinary, thats what makes me the fun egosintric guy I am. For me a 17 yr old (18 in July ;)) building something that no one else has is just the best feeling ever, like taking your first steps, or drinking that first alcoholic beverage with your friends after a long day (I know I'm underage, but I drink responsible, No DWI 4 Me).It's just Nostalgic !!!

No i understand, but with all that heat, components could fry, or even stop working. You could put fans and or make it water-cooled, but that would make your carrying case even heavier. Its a cool idea, no pun intended, but its just not feasible.
