i would like to upgrade the graphics card with something under $100 and get more ram, whatever i can get to increase cpu power would be nice also. im not aiming for best graphics if thats even possible on this system. i just want ot be able to play the game lag free and still get a good expereience graphics wise. so i would like to not be running on lowest resolution settings or anything, if posble medium or closer to max if its even possible.

ive heard it doesnt take much to run the game so im hoping i can make some necessary upgrades for all under $150. anything you can recommend would be great. i would LOVE to play this game with you guys but i dont wanna be lagging with terrible graphics. anyway you could help would be reatly appreciated.

Yea that laptop won't run Tera at all.

And you can't 'upgrade' laptops, your going to have to buy a completely brand new one. And for anything decent laptop wise you're going to have to be willing to spend about $600-$800

Your processor is about equal to the minimum requirements and your gpu (video card) is well below them. It wouldn't be a pleasant experience if you were able to get it working.

You can't normally upgrade the graphics card or processor in a laptop, so your only option will be to get a new laptop or a desktop.

Most any new $600 laptop will meet the minimum system requirements and will play tera, though most of them have the Intel HD 3000 which is painfully slow compared to desktop graphics cards. It is playable though. See this video: of a laptop running an intel HD 3000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qvky0akKZ6U

Any laptop with a 2.2ghz intel i3/i5/i7 processor, 4gb ram and a good graphics processor would run the game well.

See the Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart here:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

Graphics processors at the top of the list are faster. Find the line that has the "Go (mobile): 8800M" and "Mobility: HD 3850" - you generally want something that is higher than these on the list

Example laptops that can run tera:

$511 - Toshiba - Satellite Pro C650-EZ1560 (intel hd 3000)
$1000 Alienware M11x Laptop (nvidia gt 540m)
$750 Lenovo IdeaPad Y470p 08552NU (radeon hd 7690)

The Intel HD 3000 might "run" Tera but in that vid the person was only getting 14-20 fps solo. That thing is absolutely going to die in group play

Lenovo Ideapad that the poster above mentioned or HP Dv6z quad laptop are both pretty cheap and will run good.

As said above. No.
you're best bet is to buy a laptop with 4gb of memory, a dedicated graphics card and a i3/i5/i7 CPU.

Thats a quick build I put together for you, add in things like a HDD, OS and you will be all good for most modern games on good graphics settings.

This is why I love/hate "PC" games! Always having to upgrade you rig just to play a game is not cool. My investment of $800 should carry me more than 3 yrs. Its why I tend to stick to my xbox360, but when I do wanna play a PC game, I find that my rig is underpowered cuz I don't wanna drop a $150 every year. Nor could I do such with my laptop. And I'm not dropping down another $1400 just to play one game I find appealing. Its CRAY forreal!
