On the topic of AoC potions...when I played, you could spam the HoT pots indefinitely, resulting in PvP fights that were like fighting with passive regen.


yeah they were. it became a habit for me to hit my potion hotkeys every 30 seconds or so. but there were pots that costed 50 silver and 1 gold (opposed to 9 copper) that healed for a very significant amount. but no one ever bought them. how these people are talking, it seems like if you put the TERA crowd into that game, they'd be farming gold like crazy just to buy those potions and get the upper hand. just a weird inconsistency of "PvP" playerbases.

The easiest solution is to just put all potions on a 3 minute cooldown. I have seen 60s effectively kill their opponent six-times-over and lose because their opponent was able to pot back to full every thirty seconds. Unless you are a Slayer you are going to have a hard time being able to drop them from full in less than thirty seconds. :/

psh everyone knows only pros used gold/silver pots!

/sarcasm, i just can't imagine the tera community ridiculing people who used gold pots the way the aoc community did. even though tera has free aiming, i think aocers were more into proving their skill rather than winning at all costs. its definitely a different mentality. oh well.

It would not be 5v1 killing you in 10 seconds, because I would have teammates.

Lancers really are not that tanky if you focus them. I am under the impression that the lancer buffs to teammates do not stack too.

There is a reason people do not roll 5 lancers (or any class), because that setup is horrible. Not going to explain how a whole game works to you. Just going to have to call you a retard and say you are wrong.

They don't need to stack? They just need to be used one after the other at key points in the fight. The reason 5 lancers don't work is because there's no support (long CCs like from a mystic) but pots are probably the reason why KTera can have 4 zerkers and 1 mystics since the priest heals aren't necessary when you can full heal every 30 sec anyway and your mystic can make the fight 3v5 for 10 secs, so 3v1 on a zerker won't be enough to kill them with even a little bit of mystic heals, especially when you have 3 other zerkers wailing on you.

To put these pots in perspective, the only guaranteed instant full heal other than these pots is the Baraka passive on a 2 HOUR cd.

With 30 sec full heal pots, I bet you will see a lot of these heavy tank classes with a mystic for CCs kind of thing.

i think you guys forget that in owPVP you actually lose alot when you die. like 90% of the time you lose a crystal and you also lose all your stamina(which is just a pain in the [filtered]). when crystals can cost upwards of 200k and be lost cause someone 3 levels above you decided to gank you for "funziez" i dont mind pots in owPVP. it's all about being unfair. so long as only 3 minute ones can be used in battlegrounds and duels i dont care.

I dont agree with you that stamina loss is the pain in the [filtered] . Actually u can pay 1800 credits to an NPC and get all stamina back at full. While 1800 can be much for the 30 lvl noob it wont be much by the time we reach higher lvl.

Between bandages, multiple potions on separate cooldowns, crystals, and (for some classes) glyphs, there are plenty of ways to keep your health topped up while out in the field. There is NO reason why a 100% healing potion is necessary. I don't care if it's in or out of combat. There's no reason for it.

Simply put, these potions need to be removed. And personally, I'd remove the 50% healing pot as well, and certainly those need a far longer cooldown than they currently have if they are going to stay. If these things don't change before release, I don't see any reason to waste my time, or my money, playing a game where overpowered consumable items decide the outcome of PvP.

Hey guise I don't like having to use damage abilities in PvP so can you take them out of the game? I know every one gets to use them but it takes a button click and I hate clicking buttons. Its so stupid how in PvP people can just click a button and do damage to me. How am I supposed to roleplay my divine purpose if any old dooshwaffle with an attack skill can just walk up and slap me in the face? This is a stupid feature and is totally game breaking. Time to remove it.

Damage abilities do not make you to fight a half hour to kill one guy, while pots do.
