GvG is too competitive when players feel the need to hide guild leaders on alts, unstuck or gquit to avoid death and losing points, and even just zerg around in groups searching for enemies out on their own to kill for points. It's not really fun, but people are doing it to stay competitive. The root of the problem though is the win/loss and points system.
GvG has so much potential to just be fun and enjoyable. It should be about grouping up with your guild against an enemy guild and fighting it out for a while, not looking over your shoulder constantly to avoid giving up points to a zerg. That will never happen as long as points and win/loss records are being kept because people will play to win, whatever it takes, and have it announced to the server that they won.
There needs to be some alternative competitive pvp platform for TERA, GvG doesn't fit the bill. You know, something along the line of rated arena, rated bgs, rated deathmatches. I don't know, maybe you can come up with something better, but I would really rather have GvG just be laid back. That's just how I feel. You're welcome to disagree and it probably won't get changed anyway. I just feel like getting that out there.
