This is as it should be, a lower level player should always have a vast disadvantage to a higher level player.

A geared player should always have a vast advantage over someone in greens.

The solution is to level, travel in groups, or roll PVE.

Have you played the game?

The level/gear disparity is so ridiculous that travelling in groups doesn't solve the problem.

Leveling is the only option. Groups of 8-10 24's will get destroyed by a 32.

No, I have never played this game even though I pre-ordered and I am posting on the forums. Moron.

I call BS on your example, and I am 100% sure you have no data to back it up.

Actually, a level 32 will stomp around a group of 24s with ease. Gear alone would dictate that fight, due to the nature of how much Attack and Defense scale.

EDIT - Not to mention how damage scales with rank increases, and there would be 4 levels of ability differentiation.

I am surprisingly fine with this, however you are not defining the amount of people in said group.

Most groups early on are 5-10 people, if 10 people can't take down a single 32, I would still be duly surprised.

Being the 32 that decimated groups, I laugh. Have you seen the OP's video, it's pretty easy to extrapolate just how ridiculous crit modifiers and heavy gear influence make "PvP" servers a joke of a title. Given many zones can easily range +/-5 levels.

I guess technically I am wrong as someone who is 32 without any competency at games could very well lose to a pack of lower levels. It would be very hard to do though, almost an achievement of sorts. It would require long lapses of time where you don't use abilities, hefty keyboard turning, and a dose of "taking a break to grab a drink" in the middle of it.

Then you'll have a wonderful time experiencing the phenomenon in OB!

Many classes don't have core abilities till later levels, 30+ usually give you a few. Having an extremely limited arsenal and a severe restriction to damage because of levels/gear, you'll watch the high level player gloriously 2-shotting your group with a level modified crit rate one by one!

It also would depend on the class. I could see a 32 archer just walking through a group of ten lvl 24s simply by chargin up that arrow and one shotting them, over and over.

I really see no reason for EME to focus their energy on this, as I said it is a prime incentive to level your character.

Actually I will just have the group switch channels, or locations, worse case scenario step into an instance.

Or take a break and grab a sandwich and a coke. As someone who has played his fair share of OWPVP games, gotten corpse camped by 60 rogues in WoW, camped in the abyss by gold-geared elyos in AION, etc etc.

You learn to deal with it.

Leave the gear difference, leave the extra hp/stats for higher levels, but for pity sake, get rid of the artificial scaling for pvp. It's an archaic design and makes zero sense, especially for a game that's marketed as skill based.

Seems this game is bending over and "americanizing" (wowizing) itself more and more, with powering up gear now and not dealing with pvp problems AT ALL, just seems like they know where the money is and they simply wont do things to "balance" or add much of anything for pvpers. Though I suppose they havent taken things AWAY from us just yet... sure they'll add guards in the game or something retarded sooner or later or change how pvp works.

simply put, EME doesnt know [filtered] about PVP, and especially competitive PVP. which is why i canceled my pre-order and will wait for GW2. that arenanet team actually understands PVP.
