Artificial Level scaling still ruining OWPvP.

It is a problem for people who just want to fight and the only people around them are 5 levels higher. Then they dont get to play the game how they want, and consider the game as a whole in a bad light.

The game ought to know the diffference between players and mobs, so should be possible to tone down this multiplier affect between players.

NA-Tera is different from K-Tera. Obviously. Allowing for OW-PvP from level 11 on means that the developers have recognized that NA players are different and want different things out of their game than Koreans. It gives me hope that they WILL address the problems facing OW-PvP between lower levels.


We can only hope. It is intriguing that we haven't heard a thing in regards to this, let alone a confirmation of the final OWPvP/PK system implemented for release.

Well, I suppose that's true. Still, I've never seen an MMO developer make such a big change to their base damage formula. Nor have I seen any MMO developer care all that much about balance at early or mid-game.

EME/Bluehole hasn't exactly demonstrated that they even are capable of properly balancing such a mechanic. Gear offers huge advantages to players, where the next tier of weapons sometimes literally has double the stats of the previous tier (not to mention the difference between a regular weapon versus a fully enchanted weapon.) Some crystals offer such huge boosts to player effectiveness that your class simply isn't viable without them (+crit damage crystals at end-game, for example.) I'd say there's a pattern, here.

Mystic vs zerker? Ya if you play smart the zerker stands no chance. Did you even realize the classes you mentioned? Do you have any idea what they are capable of? How they are played? I really don't think you do. In fact based around your comment I know you don't.

Okay this seriously needs to stop, don't complain without actually understanding the damage formula. There is no such thing artificial level scaling, it is just the way that damage is calculated.

You can crit a naked lvl 60 for the same hundreds of thousands of damage as you do a lvl one, in fact some battlegrounds utilizes this along with damage reflect to bait players into one shoting themselves.

What matters is hard numbers of defense and attack, not level.

Why did I crit a 35 50% of the time and he never crit me once despite same stats?

Theres something there other than gear, but gear + scaling makes the huge difference people (me included) have originally complained about.

Did you read the part about the level difference.. yea don't think you did. OP and several others were talking about that needing to get fixed. A 19 level difference between the two kind of shows that.

It really actually doesn't. I was never touched by any beserker on my mystic in a 1v1 situation. If the class can't even touch me the level difference won't much matter now will it?
