Beserker Good for PvP ?

I'm semi new to the game looked at and tested all the melee classes pretty much, and before I ask I will say again. IM STILL SEMI NEW TO THE GAME, just to avoid most bashing as possible.
Usually of most classes tanks or beserkers are at the top of my list in MMOs, and if built/played right both classes altho dont massively thrive in PvP can hold their own. However I don't see zerkers being all that well as they seem for PvP. Decent AoE dmg yes maybe even alittle dmg reduction, but overly slow. I've had a few Duels (melee & ranged) I've asked around in the Area chat, and for the most part (when i actually get answered) I see alot of zerker bashing (along with complaints of the game and why other games are better ect ect). Which pretty much lead me to the conclusion that, I couldn't listen to jack most of them said. So im asking here in the forums. Are Zerkers as bad for PvP as people say ? Any advise would be welcome (long as its not rude). Thnx

Berserkers recieve most of their PvP abilities at higher levels but at the same time they are more considered the PvE melee dps whereas slayers are the more mobile two-hand damage dealers.

30 - Unchained Anger: Your anger consumes your health but fuels your mana.
32 - Dash: Increase your speed to get to the next fight that much faster.
40 - Staggering Strike: A sweeping attack that briefly stuns and turns your target around.
52 - Bloodlust: You're nearly unstoppable, with greater strength and resistance to stuns and trips. If you're fighting other players, you also do bonus damage.
58 - Inescapable Doom: Those nearby you are so frightened they move more slowly. If they're players, they can't use their evasion and movement skills.

I could definately see Zerkers being a cd dependent class, capable of beating anyone if chain using all their skills together but then becoming useless again with their abilities on cd.

Berserkers are very bad, if not the worst, at 1v1 at low levels. But in group battles where people have to worry about more than one enemy, you are a formidable force. And once you get to higher levels you will get a lot of skills to help you in a 1v1 situation.

I've played Berserker in the korean version, and I am still a Berserker now. No other class is as satisfying as a berserker for me. All you need is patience.

Agreed. Virusco. I've got a 60 Zerker in K-tera and there's no question that it's the class for me. More fun than any MMO I've ever played to be honest.

I'm writing a full-length guide in the class section that I'll post Monday or Tuesday of this week. It will cover a lot of these types of questions in the FAQ section.

Well that's a more then reasonable answer. Ill start with ty for all of the info posted as well as any future helpful info after this post. I have no issue with patience, or even being a late game class, I can wait that out. I aim for late game results anyways. As far as 1 v 1s go I'll leave that to the duelist considering this seems more like a group pvp game that will later rely on full scale group fights so still good. So far the zerker class lives up to what I expected i of the class type. A little bit of beefy A lot bit of smash your face in if i catch you. Just with all zerker bashers I didn't know what you expect of the class. Are zerkers also what you consider "off-tank" beefy enough to soak up a decent blow, but not as well as a Lancer and less dmg reduction skills ?

Yeah, when you DO catch someone, they're as good as dead. >:D Especially clothies. You can 1-shot them pretty easy if you time your thunder strike right and aim when they're completely vulnerable during a skill animation (for example, sorcerer during their lock-on skill, priests while they're using their self heal, etc etc).
As far as tanking goes, you should never consider berserkers as tanks. You are a DPS, and a damn good one at that. I have 3-manned instances with my berserker tanking but it only works because the other two are my RL friends and we can communicate very well. Berserkers have no way of holding aggro besides out-dpsing the healer aggro. But if you do have friends with skill you can rely on, try tanking with a berserker a few times, it's pretty fun :P
But ultimately, berserkers are there to blow away anything their axe can reach, and we should keep it like that. :)

In my experience only bad players are caught by a berserker (even in group pvp). Yes teamates can help with disabling an opponent or making them use their defensive skills so we can have our way with them.

I hope you meant that and not that people are not paying attention makes it easier for us to catch them. While this is true it makes me cry you are betting on people having tunnel vision.

Only asking because I want OP to be informed of how it is.

The guy was talking about group PvP, of course I'm talking about that too. And tunnel vision or not, people DO cast spells, and if you watch how everyone is moving around then there is always that split second you can take advantage of.
And obviously the berserker himself has to think about his positioning as well. Even bad players will know to get out of the way if a berserker comes charging head on. Utilizing the environment and the situation is a key factor in this game.

There is no spell that has a 6 second animation time except maybe a zerkers cyclone as far as I know.

Berserkers are terrible solo. Absolutely terrible. You NEED support or you aren't going to catch anyone intent on moving, or even run away yourself if you need to.
