CBT 2 PvP system

And usually with your system there is a penalty. Then the person A who didn't flag first will just be a [filtered] and taunt and try to bait the pink player B to go red. So A can have his friends kill B to give him the penalty. A will then turn around and boast that it's a "strategy", how he outwitted B. How is that spontaneous pvp? That's just a [filtered] being a [filtered] hiding behind some stupid "ruleset".

I apologize but that makes no sense. The system i just explained makes people either fight or run for their life. There is no penalty, i dont know where you got that from, you're making things up.

If i flag to attack you, and i kill you, you're dead end of story (never said anything about penalties). If you decide to not run and defend yourself you also flag. So instead of seeing 1 red target sticking out like a sore thumb, there are two or more.

Or simply just remove the who name change thing and have people realize that 2 or more players are fighting each other and anyone can attack anyone without having to use a skill to flag.

I do not think you guys understand EME point of flagging yourself. This is a free target game, so basically every melee hit is aoe. So unless they add friendly fire, then this concept is the only one that will work. If someone is farming a BAM and then uses an aoe, someone else will purposely walk into the aoe so that person who was farming becomes flagged. I personally would like that but it is too hard to do right.

This system is also in favor of the Outlaw.

Eg. I flag myself as an outlaw, I can hit any and everyone. However, the person I am attacking will not be able to attack the person who is unflagged and healing me. This requires the person or group of people to also flag to kill the healbot. Unless of course the only way to heal the Outlaw is for the healer to also flag.

Is this system perfect? No, but it is doable. Espicially if there is an incentive into being a outlaw, like forever person you kill you gain infamy and a special currency. If you gain enough infamy you can not use certain NPC, Banks and Ports this itself is a pretty big penalty. But a Vanarch controlled area may allow outlaws. Then there would be currency to buy armor, weps, and crystals specfically for Outlaws. It would also work the same for players who kill Outlaws, they would gain Fame for killing Outlaws and have their own currency for armor, weps, and crystals. Vanarchs should also be allow to put bounty on really infamous Outlaws.

Anyways just my 2 cents.

I see what you're saying, but lets say there is no flagging system and you can just hit everyone with all your skills. People will understand thats how it works and not come close to the target you're attack or you.

Unless they're in your guild or party. If someone is going to grief and kill you, it would be the same result as the flagging system you just wouldnt have a warning.

If there is a flagging system if someone is flagged and comes up to you, they're going to kill you because there is no repercussions.

If there is some sort of repercussions and they need to get you flagged. They can just make it so your skills dont hit other players unless you're hitting a button to allow your skills to hit others.

Either way its just another form a griefing which happens.
