Can Splayer beat a Sorcerer in PvP?

Right now, at level 24, I feel like I have to chase those kind of classes all the time and Sorcerer, for example, can just teleport back-and-forth and is really hard to catch, and if I do, they just teleport again. Or this could be due to my lack of skill.
I know at this level, our skills are not balanced yet, but still...
What do you think?

As you get more skills you will be able to catch them if you use them correcly. They can be a little hard to get but once you catch em, they are dead.

Think of it as catching a piece of paper floating in the wind. It may dodge around a bit, but once you catch it, you can wipe the floor with it. I rolled a warrior alt last night and came across a duel happy level 14 archer in Lumbertown. With no gap closers, he owned the crap out of me, and I only actually hit him one time - point being that the skills you have access to can have a strong impact on your success in a duel while leveling. For instance, level 26 is god level for lancers as they suddenly get a charge and the chain pull skill which makes a huge difference for them.

I always beat Lancers, they're easy. They don't run anywhere. The challenge is to catch a magician or anyone who runs away before they hit me too may times.
And getting enough Mana is a real [filtered] also (maybe another major major drawback).

Yeah, is all about getting those key skills : backstab, distant blade, headbull rush?, dash, hell even leaping strike into overhand becomes a great gap closer :) when u get those skills kitting is a tale from the past, still player skill count.

I think you missed my point. I only mentioned lancers as an example of how much gaining skills through your level progression can change your 1v1 success. You won't always beat lancers, so enjoy it while it lasts.

You have trouble with mana because you're not able to combo attack trying to catch up to people. As you gain more glyph points and crystal slots, you'll be able to use those to make up for whatever problems you're having whether it be mana or run speed.

That would be the only problem with Slayers imo. They are a little too mobile. Glyphed you can have Dash II up something like 80% of the time. They also need to put a much longer cooldown on Backstab. Once every 15 seconds is a little ridiculous for a class that has so many other gap closers/mobility/and damage.

Only ridiculous thing what I see is class what have: teleport, 2 jump out skills, mana shield, stone skin, lock on root, lock on mana burn and block basic attacks, instant AoE slow and can one shot from 2 skills while one is AoE.

And You call slayer too mobile? LOL

felt that one shot today. i usually have no problems what so ever catching kiters, but today i was dueling this sorc and after beating him the first time, the second fight i had him to about 2% lol, he jumped back outa my range and i had 2 more secs on distant blade, which i was about to use to finish him off, then suddenly im immobilized for god knows how long while she was charging something up. then, suddenly 1 shot, i lose. i had 90%+ HP lol.

i think honestly much of the OPness of classes arent necisarily from skills they have, its the crits in the game. crits in this game are WAY outa whack IMO. no reason a crit should 1 shot ANYONE. they should honestly lower crit cap or something, and it would be better.
