How can we avoid Ktera's owpvp death?
I think there needs to be some more added incentive to travel into a pvp zone with "daily" quest that give pvp rewards. Also how about some owpvp ranking system? (BTW I am not sure if Ktera already has any of my suggestions)

Wait we are talking for Ktera or NA tera here? because KTera wont change anything about what we are saying here...

If it is for NA Tera, i would greetly agree a OWPvP ranking system, but Reward for single kills are really not needed. The reward for Open world mass pvp will probly be territory via politic/Vanarch system, depending on how it works, but i hope it will be about fighting for an area. (also no gear reward for BGs, so we dont see people farming BGs all day)

For the ranking system i think it should not be only for the dps/killer classes, but also a ranking for OWPvP heals and tanking, if possible it would be good, otherwise priest/mystic/lancer would su/ck at ranking, even if they would be good at pvping.

Also a guild pvp ranking system, so we know who are the bests pvp guilds in addition of the best pvper players.

If you were to get points for killing people, then the points should only be given if you kill someone 2 levels lower than you and any level above you.

If it's any level, then low levels will be farmed. Why protect them when you can kill them and get points.

If points are given for any kills then the whole idea fails and there's no point on starting on a PvP server when there's way too much incentive for someone (who is 20 levels higher than you) to kill you rather than help you.

Well Liamface if you look at aion i think they did a pretty good job on the owpvp in the sense that you gain max points from killing a higher rank and close to no points for killing a low rank. Also dieing to lower ranked player resulted in a huge lose of points.

Battle Grounds or War Zones rewards coupled with PVE rewards kill OWPVP every time.

1.) You need to give people a chance to get on par PVE gear for OWPVPing

2.) No Battle Grounds. All those games should be OW games.

3.) No token system. Everyone that helps kill someone gets to roll on a chance to get the level gear of that player Killed. Sometimes you may roll up a epic item.

1) I don't have opinion about that one, don't agree and don't disagree

2) there can be battle ground but limited and no gear reward (can be little rewards like potions but no gear)

3) no, getting gear from single pvp kill would be a pretty bad system, and it's not needed. We don't need to force owpvp.

Actually Aion's system was horrible for OWPvP. The cost vs. reward was far too unbalanced. When PvPers would rank up to 3-star Officer and above it become inefficient to even participate in the OWPvP. Rather, they would sit in town twiddling their thumbs waiting for Dredgion and their AP instance cooldown timers.

This is not a system they should even consider for TERA.

The only reward needed for pvp is the satisfaction that you killed someone and made their life crap for 10-15 minutes while they regroup and run back out. You also should be happy you asserted your dominance. No gear should be rewarded or coin rewarded. No penalty should be put in place. PvP should be a tool.

When pvp exists in this form, there is less griefing because most become bored. It also makes pvp more meaningful as people tend to fight over raid bosses and high level content.

Yes there will be griefers. I can guarantee though if restrictions are put into place for this many will find ways to exploit it. I being one of them. (e.g. those of you who played L2 remember dressing up your low level character in top tier gear, making someone think you were high level then letting them go red on you so you could jump them with your friends for their gear? Or convincing someone to heal you and flag right before the heal goes off causing them to flag for pvp?)

TL:DR - Restrictions encourage griefing- No restrictions = Good pvp/pve game!
