Endgame PvP

Whether it's battlegrounds, the arena system, or server vs server conquest; I expect some form of endgame PVP as a pvper. GvG is NOT endgame, there is always an inbalance, you always spend money instead of earning it, and in most cases it ends in a draw. Don't make me laugh EnMasse by calling this ENDGAME.

ENDGAME is defined just by that, it is the hardest of challenges and gives the greatest of REWARDS. Remember those two points.

1.Some idiots will argue that real pvpers do not need rewards, don't make me laugh. Even if you enjoy your work, would you accept not getting paid? Even if you enjoy endgame PVE, would you continually do it without any loot? I think with this analogy i can save writing a essay on why its ESSENTIAL that pvp rewards the PVPer in some way or another.

2.GvG is not a challenge. Either 2 things happen in a GvG battle without extraordinary circumstances. And both usually ends in a draw since so many points are required 2 win and there is no requirement to fight at all.
-it becomes a cowardly battle of ganking random members who aren't participating or paying attention.
-it becomes a battle where one guild stays in the safe zone, rushes out to battle, runs back in the safe zone, and repeat.

3. The final point is that the Outlaw System is not endgame PVP. If you truly consider this endgame pvp then i won't bother arguing with incompetents. Is the Outlaw system good pvp, i don't know thats a matter of preference; however without a doubt it's not endgame pvp.

I basically agree with all of this.

There are Arenas and Battlegrounds for pvp, they've just been delayed until the update at the end of the summer (Queen of Argon Part 2).

You can watch some arena videos on youtube. They're severely unbalanced though. Your group of 5 with all +12 gear can be randomly pitted against a group of players with gear so unenchanted that they cannot do any damage to you at all. It pretty much becomes required to spend hundreds of thousands of gold getting the absolute best gear to even stand a chance in arena/bg pvp.

I personally don't mind having to gear up, but i do detest just how gear dependent this "skill" based game is at the moment. Not to mention the leveling power scale is plain ridiculous.

There is no leveling power scale at "end game" pvp. You also have an issue with gear playing a major role, but yet asking for gear rewards to pvp. I honestly don't think you know what you want. You want a company to spoon feed you and tell you what to do to stay entertained. Getting +12 can be somewhat tedious, but if you're questing and running dungeons like you should be, there is plenty of money earned and sacrifice items earned to get you there. If you expect to hit cap (whatever cap it may be) and run out thinking you're some bad [filtered] because you have to "aim" your skills then you are delusion.

I agree and would like to add... Why can't GvG ignore safe zones? I have seen far too many guilds mass an army at the northgate on Valika, start fighting their opposing guild...then run in and sit around the fire.

Outlaws do this alot to which I find shameful because 20$ says whoever they ganked to get the outlaw status in the first place didn't have a safe zone to run to. but this is all anotehr opinion for another time.

Agreed. (again)
