Dueling is not pvp? then what exactly is it...

Dueling is a fair 1v1 match with 2 opponents who agree not to use pots, 3rd party class buffs, scrolls, charms, and any outside help. If anything it is the epitome of pvp lol.

You want me to make a gank video? Going around fully buffed fighting noobs fighting mobs?

That's like saying the only way to actually wrestle is not in the ring but go out on the street and tackle some stranger.

Makes no sense.

What do you think battlegrounds and fights for vanarch will be? 10v10 and 5v5 deathmatch with strict rules. If you don't think dueling is PVP than neither are those.


A duel is a controled fight where there is no way for someone els to interfer or a mob on you ext. also i cant speak for everyone but in duels i dont wast my pots or even put effort in to it use it to just test stuff out not to mention that it is on a timer so not much kiteing going on imo its just a controled timed fight. Bg's are a little diff and u think GvG is like a duel realy dude wtf .....but if that is what u like i mean the hole its on a timer and controled safe fight then more power to u but for me its not pvp its practice at best.

Whats wrong with a fair fight? Alot of gvg guilds setup 5v5's or 10v10's so it doesn't come down to kill one person and safezoning. I don't know about most ppl, but I think when a mob enters in a 1v1 even outside a duel I let them kill it before I start attacking.

So If neither opponents use pots or decide to then whats your point? If anything it makes the fight even more fair in that the other person doesn't have an advantage. If you don't put any effort into a duel or "try" than that is your problem. When you have 10-20 people watching the duel, I'm pretty sure you're going to try to make sure people know you are better than your opponent.

I never run into the timer problem unless I am fighting a lancer, which in itself is pretty silly to 1v1 anyways.

Bg's are basically 10v10 death matches. You don't lose anything so there is no real risk of losing crystals. I can tell you don't gvg much. Most gvg's will end up with someone killing the other guild once or twice then safe zoning. Most pvp guilds will setup fair 5v5,10v10's or fair numbers. 90% of the time one guild is safe zoning complaining about the others zerg numbers in area chat anyways.

It sounds to me your version of pvp is ganking others while they are farming, afk, or completely under prepared for the fight. I prefer to fight my opponent ina scenario they can agree upon so I don't get QQ whispers about it later.

Video makers should strive for that. It's not Tera but the passion alone is great.
