High levels going around in the lowbie zones and PK'ing people, PK'ing like that and rolling newb zones because high levels are bored are what kills PVP server populations and games like this so if they don't stiffen the penalties for griefing people and add open world rewards to this game this will continue and the game will loose people fast.

There needs to be indirect rewards for pvp. Direct pvp rewards breaks PvP as those who have advantage continues to amass advantage till new players give up trying as it's terribly imbalanced.

PvP needs a purpose.

PvP for territorial control.
PvP for world bosses.
PvP for resources.

All of which demands scarcity and thus contest for rare things.

I know, but I ask for OWPvP rewards, do PK for nothing is no sense, why the final bosses have drop for noobs PvErs and the PvPers have nothing to do PK? I can't understand.


I think this has something to do with Ktera already having PvP implemented during endgame and not before? Maybe it'll change for us since we'll have PvP during our leveling up phase as well.

There needs to be long term PvP rewards in order for this game to succeed. I am talking about a system like in DAOC, were you worked to build your Realm Rank up and then with that you were able to buy skills and gear that helped you in PvP. Right now there is nothing. If this game launches with out any system in place it will fail. Just like AOC, great game but no reward system and 90% of the PvP population left because of it. So I sure hope that EM has plans to implement something before release.


Your pvp rewards is made up in gear and the vanarch system.

How about implementing fame for killing equal (+/- x levels) level players. You cannot game fame well having an existing infamy. Fame is a form of pvp notoriety. It can be used to unlock access to certain titles, gear to be purchased with battleground tokens, mounts, shoot i don't care whatever. The point is it adds a penalty for pking and promotes owpvp but in a way that does break the pvp system.

so you have infamy for killing lower levels and fame for killing players that actually present a challenge.

I hate to rain on the OW Rewards Train but the odds of ever getting any kind of reward for OW PvP that isn't frivolous and just for looks is basically 0 due to the ease of exploiting any type of rewards system in a FFA open world pvp environment. Odds of the frivolous stuff being added also isn’t so great either because of this lol. The Huge amount of restraints and restrictions required to prevent exploiting the system will prevent it from ever being implemented. Because let’s face it people will take the fastest/lowest difficulty route to the reward every time, if that's me and a friend trading alt kills that will be how it’s done.

^^ QFT. Sorry folks but I don't think OwPvP rewards like you want are really a good idea.

PvP rewards are necesary for the continuity of TERA, PvP players have not high end content, there are people who hate the PvE.

Only implementing a 10% ratting to drop a collectable token to change for armor and weapons we are happy.
