There needs to be indirect rewards for pvp. Direct pvp rewards breaks PvP as those who have advantage continues to amass advantage till new players give up trying as it's terribly imbalanced.
PvP needs a purpose.
PvP for territorial control.
PvP for world bosses.
PvP for resources.
All of which demands scarcity and thus contest for rare things.
I hate to rain on the OW Rewards Train but the odds of ever getting any kind of reward for OW PvP that isn't frivolous and just for looks is basically 0 due to the ease of exploiting any type of rewards system in a FFA open world pvp environment. Odds of the frivolous stuff being added also isnâ€™t so great either because of this lol. The Huge amount of restraints and restrictions required to prevent exploiting the system will prevent it from ever being implemented. Because letâ€™s face it people will take the fastest/lowest difficulty route to the reward every time, if that's me and a friend trading alt kills that will be how itâ€™s done.
Loot drops are the best pvp reward and also unexploitable. However I don't think most people can handle loot drops
PvP rewards are necesary for the continuity of TERA, PvP players have not high end content, there are people who hate the PvE.
Only implementing a 10% ratting to drop a collectable token to change for armor and weapons we are happy.
