I think you are missing the point of what this does on a grander scale. Sure in 1 v 1, it may not give you a huge advantage.

When you get into group PvP settings, which this game is based on, you will begin to see problems.


Actually, reflect is stronger in 1v1's and other very small scale skirmishes - 1v2, 2v2, etc. It's pretty much a dueling stat and gives certain classes HUGE advantages in that area, but is typically overtaken in group settings (5v5+) by things like 18% balance since the reflect damage becomes very predictable and very easily healable.

Either way, it's a dumb stat that just needs to get removed from the game entirely.

For some classes, yes it is a huge advantage in 1 v 1. Not really for all. I still eat slayers, rangers and other warriors alive. I've encountered all with the 30% already and have only lost once to one slayer, which I redeemed myself for (I just have to throw that in =P). I don't have the stat on mine, because I am not a hypocrite, and I'm not gonna roll around with something I disagree with and would like to see removed, even if it is the FOTM.

But joking aside, it is retarded for sorcs, priests, lancers, and mystics; all of which are capable of shielding damage or healing it, but returning reflected damage. These guys will now dominate 1 v 1. 1 v 2... pretty much anything without a healer on both sides.

The reason I say this is a problem in group PvP is this:

Is a healer going to heal the sorc who drops HS on the biggest group of players he can find, all of which have 30% reflect? No... If he drops a storm on 4 players with 30% reflect, there is no healing through that.

How about the zerker who cyclones into a group of enemies, or hits more than one enemy with his heavy hitter and crits them both. Is the healer going to heal through that potential one-shot? No, certainly not.

These classes, which are MADE for group PvP, especially berserker, are going to be punished for doing their job, now.

Berserkers are meant to launch super heavy hits at as many targets as they can line up. Sorcs AoE is all but useless now in group PvP.

This stat is a problem in group PvP and 1 v 1.

I really REALLY like this game, and it's kinda depressing that I have absolutely no urge to play anymore because of this one stat.

Everyone already has it, and it's already a problem on the battlefield. I've seen how bad it already is, and it's only going to get worse as more people gear themselves out for "PvP".

Let's hit in mass PvP few people with reflect dmg and you will see why it break group PvP also. Classes like:
- sorc
- slayer
- bersercer (before QoA and with new KR patch)
Do not have split dmg by hit multiple targets, what means they can even kill them self because of reflected DMG.
Similar problem have classes:
- archer
- sorc
- bersercer
Because of insane hight single hit dmg. If they are around ~50% HP they can be killed by them own dmg as well.
Also classes like:
- slayer
- warrior
Are not able to kill healer or any other healed target because they will be forced to retread otherway own dmg will kill them.

Ofc, that is not issue right now. But it will be because more and more people make this reflect dmg in armors. Soon it will be hard to find person without this game breaking stat.

I support damage reflect, Only vs xDavo420x just sayin!

If Enmasse could only leave the 30% dmg reflect on my armor for only vs xDavo420x I will support this enchantment bonus if it reads:

"30% to reflect damage to Sergeant.Slaughter in Duels vs Relax"

Other than this exception, it should be removed from the game imo!

lol are you serious? priest is the hardest class to kill 1 v 1 regardless of reflect or not. A good geared priest not going to easily die to anyone 1 v 1. They don't even need reflect......... You also have a 14k hp potion and a 23k hp potion that don't share cooldowns. Stop crying about 1 v 3 and make a friend.

I currently use it since I consider it one of the better stats for a warrior, especially backed by heals. I think it should go away, but I don't disagree with people using it since it is available. Should either just be removed straight up or just made to not affect pvp.

I do think it isn't as big a deal as some people make it out to be outside of lancers/priests/mystics in 1v1 and fireblast on multiple people in group pvp. I am interested if this damage is reduced by pvp gear though.

Have never run into a priest I couldn't kill. Warrior here. And I'm damn good at it. I'm not saying there isn't a priest out there that I can't beat, but it's few and far between to say the least. Sorry you have a hard time w/ them. I don't know what class you are but as a warrior it's pretty [filtered] easy if you time your stuns correctly. And for real kicks, if you get your hands on one of those idiotic priests who sit there and don't move and just heal through the damage and laugh at you, build up your edge, backstab and Scythe from behind. Watch the one-shot lolz. It's rare that they are that stupid, but it happens.

Secondly, I'm not saying I don't have healers to roll with. Hell, I'll be honest, our guild rolls around in a formed group of five ganking all day, but I like to test my skill from time to time, or sometimes you just get ganked while questing. That's when 1 v multiple comes into play. You shouldn't have to sink gold and blow potions to survive in PvP. Those items should be optional, or used in "oh [filtered]" situations when they are necessary. Not a staple accessory just to get by.

Besides those 2 small scenarios, there's a whole range of problems in group PvP.

Stop trolling on legitimate forums and actually play the game. Maybe when you get good, you will learn why this is broken.

I agree with you completely. I am not blaming the people using it at all. I personally don't use it because I'm so outwardly against it, I would feel like a hypocrite, but I understand people who are using it.

It's EME that I blame for putting something in that is so blatantly broken in PvP, without a single thought of the repercussions.

I'm just going to take my time and level my alt to 60, because I assume this will be fixed (I hope), as it is a glaring issue in PvP. If it's not fixed by the time I hit 60, well... I can always re-sub if they fix it, and if they don't. Eh, it was fun while it lasted...
