Remove Outlaw, Enable "Friendly Fire" PvP Idea

I have to agree. The outlaw system completely discourages PVP in this game. Being in a pvp server first hand in many games, many things might of been broken or unbalanced, but pvp existed period. Fact that after 2 weeks of not testing and returning and maybe encountering a single person maybe turning the outlaw buff is just embarrassing. It's a little fake to claim a PVP server when sure doesn't feel like one. The complaints about people getting annoyed about being pk'd and or zerged are complaints about being on a PVP server. Why hide and defend a system (outlaw) that should exist on a PVE server...why be on a pvp server claim you like pvp and promote what we all call a carebare mentality?...I think the idea is solid to try, i think they should implement better systems to combat it being full pvp all the time instead of just leaving it and making people not want to play the game. Here is another idea toss it in...what if everyone was red, but the outlaw buff instead would keep you white. So you login your red, if you feel like being a carebear for the day, turn your self white, make it so you can't turn mid fight but give people that option on a pvp server not the other way around...As it stands, i still claim and feel like im playing on a PVE server.

they just need to go with the old school lineage 2 pk system (not the new carebear one that encourages ksing). For those of you that have never played l2 it goes like this.

You make me mad-> I hold ctrl and attack you--> you hit the ground--> i get some karma points and im now red.

While red I cant enter towns because guards one shot me. To work off the red/Karma, I have to kill mobs within a certain lvl range of mine or die it off.

If killed while red and i have more than a set number of pks, I can drop items.

This made pking someone, something you had to think about (the politics, your time, and gear) but if you did pk them, you could lose xp or kill mobs to work it off.

Oh and if you flag on someone and they flag back you are both purple and at that point noone goes red so as long as the opponent hits back its a fair fight.

How about.............

We only obtain the RED NAME if we kill people who're 6 levels under us.

Other than that, we stay white named while fighting other people our level.

(This will prevent the whole area zerging upon ONE player, if two people are duking it out over a mob)

yea a lvl range is a good idea. i think the way l2 had it was due to all servers being pvp. this gave the pver'ers a hope of not just being randomly attacked by people that are of any lvl. I guess it was kind of a special carebear padding but it did lead to pks that at least were for a good reason. Like killing a kser or bot, or just a dbag in general that refused to back his talk up lol.
