Remove channels

I think the amount of channels ingame hurts open world pvp. The world of Tera is already large enough as it is without having to search through 8 or more channels to find pvp. I can understand having channels when it comes to a leveling perspective (easier to find your quest mobs) but the respawns are extremely fast as it is and once most people are level 60 there won't be nearly as much competition for quest mobs as there is now. Are there any plans to remove the channel system in the future? or at least reduce the amount of channels in each zone?

Channel 1 is PvP, 2 and 3 as well if things are getting full.

Do NOT remove channels. I have no desire to wait an hour waiting for a mob spawn because 20 other people want it as well.

Within a month or two, there won't be anyone camping your mob. It's only because the game is new that there are so many people camping these spawns. I'm not completely against channels, but I do think all zones should be reduced to 2 channels or else it will hurt open world pvp.

Honestly I just see that turning into one or two guilds camping the two channels at some critical point (lumbertown, for example) preventing anyone from leveling at all. They wouldn't even have to pk, just take out the mobs first. A single sorcerer trap would do it.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. Perhaps the lowbie zones should keep their channels. I play on Valley of Titans (a high pop server) and pretty much every zone after lvl 30 feels pretty empty and channel 1 is low pop in all of these places. I think all of these higher lvl zones (40+) should only have 2 zones max to allow for more pvp.

Also I'd just like to add that guilds camping a critical zone wouldn't prevent everyone from leveling. Unless you're new to the zone, you can easily teleport from town to whichever camp you wish.

Channels are fine as it is. Also everyone knows Channel 1 is the pvp channel and the other channels is for questing.

It is you who have it wrong Blaze, yes channel 1 is for pvp but 2-8 is for ganking 8)
