If you guys are whining about ganking then you've obviously never played open world pvp games like lineage 2


Not everyone here is whinning about ganking. Some of us want a higher death penalty when we get ganked, but we also want to see a higher penalty for the gankers too (which I can understand you whinning about that).

Since when was pvp NOT supposed to be fair?

There is no rule saying that pvp cant be fair.. Only that no mmo has ever succedded at making a fair mechanic, or they just dont care.

Im very exited about the Guild VS guild thing.. But that can only be done on PvP servers.. thats a downer. I think GvG makes total sence, and should be the way open world pvp is done, where both guilds agree on being at war

lol at people wanting open-world pvp to be "fair". Peace and love and happiness, Carebear Stare!

Nothing needs to be "done" about ganking besides you, the playerbase, putting a stop to it yourself. The less the game has to get involved in your world the better. Stop whining.

Outlaws don't benefit from Safe zones and are KoS by guards

Also make it so that you can't change channels when you have high infamy

I agree with this but on the flip side the gankers need to get some satisfaction too. I vote for deleveling players, otherwise this will be too harsh for them and you won't see many gankers.


Gankers get their satisfaction out of ganking otherwise they wouldn't be doing it to begin with , Getting de-leveled by a ganker is the worse idea i have ever heard of and would completely destroy the playerbase.

Ganking should involve risk, the thrill of killing a player and knowing your wanted , having to lay low till your infamy wears off could be fun given a town specifically for infamous players so they could access shops and such but not have a safezone to cower in.

Players killing players their own level don't gain infamy that fast so it takes less time to wear off vs a level 38 killing level 12's they are gonna be outlawed for quite awhile and now have to suffer the consequence of being a douche , see how that works ?

Griefers get their satisfaction at the expense of other players fun so it should return full circle.

When I played L2 and a clan put me on KOS simply because they couldn't pick on me. I ganked them. I got my satisfaction from de-leveling their members, stopping their raids, and getting them to the point where I get a pm from the leader (of the #1 clan from the server btw) saying "if you stop killing my members I will take you off kos". the next day one of his members pk'd me while I was sitting down afk. I pm'd the leader and he came out immediately to brez (res scroll with 100% exp back, but cost alot of money) me.

No it was uprising. They had an event to allow top allies of each server pvp and uprising were the ones who won.

I like PVP, but not ganking. Unfortunetly most of the gankers which pretty much are the ones saying the same stupid thing "change channels, role pve server" and that kind of imbecile comments have such a retarded mentality. Unfortunetly, even if the game mechanics change, we cannot change these imbeciles, so if we want to be on pvp servers will have to deal with these troglodytes. In any case i will definetly become a pkker. But i really would like to be some sort of reward having to kill these outlaws. By the way this situations reminds me a lot to //.Hack
