No, not IMO. Because when battlegrounds come out we will get a new set of T13 PvP gear from an entirely separate vendor/rep faction - real PvP gear that has PvP bonus stats unlike this half PvE half PvP gear we get from the Nexus. Don't waste the money on enchanting it. Just get the T12 one and wait for battlegrounds. I don't think any of the T13 Nexus stuff is worth it to be honest. T12 will be enough until BGs come out, save all your T13 fodder for that.

The fact that you can Masterwork the T13 PVP gear makes it worth getting.

Btw the BG pvp gear might be slightly different but since most of us are getting the T13 gear this weekend on VOT... I think it's worth getting due to the fact that BG gear wont be around for awhile.

For warriors twin swords, improvement of +9 T13 PvP over T12 PvP is 7.5%. This is not masterworked. At max masterwork +12, you're looking at something like 20% improvement.

I would imagine for the other DPS classes, the weapons are scaled at a similar ratio.

Unlike nexus, you have to actually have to do something to earn the BG gear. So if you intend on killing people better, get the T13 nexus pvp weapon.

I didn't know you could MW them. Well that's super disappointing. I was considering sticking around for BGs but if I'd have to farm and enchant another set of gear only to do it again next month than I'm out. I just want to PvP. They need to get rid of all this other BS.

In games like WoW and RIFT you could PvP for your gear and wear it as soon as you got it and it took a decent amount of time to earn one set which was sufficient to use until you earned another one. It was simply a reward for having fun. In Aion you had to work harder to earn you gear and then even harder to socket and enchant that gear but once you did you could wear it for months or even a year. The time spent was worth it and after that you could just enjoy the game and have fun. Here, you have to work to earn it and then work even harder to enchant it and end up with no money. Then you have to reroll the stats over and over. Then a few weeks later you do it all over again. That is not how other MMO's do it and it is not fun.

They're trying to push out content faster here than they did in Korea and with a worse economy and different enchanting system. The Korean's didn't have to farm so quickly back to back, they had a much more reasonable progression than we are having. Having to farm so many different PvE and PvP sets in such a short time period with so little content and zero PvP content is just a bad idea.

You can't masterwork the t13 BG gear, but you can masterwork the t14 ones that you get from bg+craft (bg for the mats then craft the output).
The nexus weapons are categorized as pvp/pve weapons, which depending on your class can make them superior as they can give more attack speed then their bg counterparts.
example here: http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/player-vs-player/topics/Keep-grinding-Nexus-53900
There will be t14 versions of everything in QoA part 2, so no matter what you choose to do there will be a better option in the next patch.
Basic weapon info:

So for a t13 compare it is very easy to argue that nexus t13+12 will be superior to BG t13+9 depending on your class.

So @ Leiloni you can only do BG and walk out with superior gear no worries (except for a healer the pve/pvp weapon probably end up better lol)
