Guys, I'm ALL for Penalty-Free PvP. It's old-fashioned, and true to original MMO's.

But you've got to realize a few things about your pipe-dreams and half-cocked ideas of banding together during CBT's in order to allow for Penalty-Free pvp to go live, so you can PvP your balls out.

1. A VERY SMALL percentage of players actually read the forums. Even less actually post. You will not succeed in any kind of agreement for CBTs. Not possible.

2. Do you think EME is staffed with a bunch of illiterate idiots? You are showing your entire hand here before you've dealt it. "Dont zomg-gank till after release, they wont see it coming!! keke" On THEIR forums. Christ....really, think this through.

3. Do you honestly believe that if you DO succeed beyond all expectations of "restraining" yourselves during beta to prevent the QQ's, that the system will REMAIN in the live client once the QQ's begin there? Like other MMO companies have NEVER given you something, then taken it away to please the more casual players. Nope. Never.

first off, no need to start a new thread over this.

secondly, most of us want to continue protecting the weak, so-to-speak, once servers go live. nowhere has anyone said that they want to gank their brains out after release.

and thirdly, if they see us making an effort to save the rulesets, that is a good thing. they will see how badly we want to keep it a certain way and take that into consideration. no one is trying to be "sneaky."

and if most people dont read my thread, so what? its a given that there will be griefing regardless of one thread, but i wanted to remind everyone who DOES read these forums what is at stake. we are the ones who made enough noise to get them to test out this system in the first place, so if you think we cant make a difference, it is YOU who is mistaken.

Guess what again? The vast majority of players do not read/post on forums, will not help your cause, and the biggest and saddest in-game trolls will undoubtedly get their jollies off on oddjobing every lowbie they meet.

Am I ok with that? Hell yes. Self-policing. We can camp their asses off too. Fun fun fun.


Casuals will cry foul on day 1 of Beta though. Your post will come to naught. Mine is only spelling that out for you. Take that as you will.

so youre making a thread to say that another thread is meaningless? am i supposed to be offended? so several of us in the forums are discussing how we want to behave in the beta. this forum is, believe it or not, for discussing pvp. if we want to try and lower the amount of qq that comes from beta that is our own prerogative. im not sure why you are wasting your time "spelling" things out for me, its even more pointless than my thread. take that as you will.

We have the Outlaw system In place YES no debuffs as of now, but that said changes could be made since It exists. People telling others to take It easy seems amuseing just tell people not to Pvp to much on a Pvp server....lol. Just telling others to take It easy seems to admit that changes we don't like will come If we actually do committ PVP on a PVP server Oh No's. Don't get me wrong I am against - 1 - Killing lowbies 2 - Camping 3 - Greifing = Killing the same player over and over, but this will happen. Please don't tell people to SLOW down or not committ Pvp on a Pvp server because we might be PUNISHED.

Bah, probably pointless getting involved between Alia and Okan but each of you have valid points and are correct in certain ways. So instead of fighting each other on the forums, maybe we should incorporate both ideas.

Look at the end of the day, we know how we want our PVP and we hope that EME can make it come true. We need to be strong as a community and very vocal so that EME can take us seriously and not just listen to the "hold hands" majority.
