There are lots of appeals for alternate PvP rulesets, I guess it can't hurt for me to throw mine out here.

Though mine isn't so much an alternate. In kTERA, they utilize a similar PK system to the current NA Outlaw system, with one exception: only high-level players can be outlaws. This doesn't necessarily prevent rampant ganking, but it does make it so that it takes more than being any old level 20 fool with a spare Lumbertown teleport scroll to be eligible to engage in open world carnage. This would still leave PvP at end-game an option, something PvE sorely lacks, while also granting a little breathing room for levelling in the meantime.

Right now I dislike that I have to choose between playing Metal Gear Solid at the Lumbertown Bridge or living in a conflict-free wonderland where everyone holds hands and dances around BAMs. Especially when a more measured system already exists in the game. Hell, I'm watching it in a stream right now.

head start and release date will wipe all the lvl 30s so it wont really be a problem when it first comes out. but yea change channels and it is not a problem period. I have not had this much fun in an mmo for years I love the free ganking experience.

I've always said it would be nice for En Masse to implement a KTera ruleset server. Sure its not as "hardcore" as the proposed NA server pvp ruleset, but if gives room for all the possibilities of the PvP server just at the end game as it was designed to be. Considering OWPVP was never intended to be available at lower level anyway on any server as it is, with all the hidden level disparity bonuses and how much the game is gear 2 win.

Would be nice, but its a matter of En Masse being able to swallow their pride of "westernizing" everything, and provide more options of play styles for players.

Actually, no. Open beta characters will not be wiped.
