Lets be honest, the Castanic, and High Elf Males look entirely too feminine. The other race(s) were changed to accommodate western ideology and I believe these armor renders should be redesigned as well.

Both races are fine. Castanic male don't look feminine at all. High-Elf look exactly like how their society/lore make them. 'Better then everyone else, and pretty.' They don't sparkle and if anything have more of an emo look to them.

Oh, and if you look at the most popular race in WoW, you'll notice that it is Blood Elf: a class with an extremely effeminate male.

So it's not enough to have Aman, Baraka and Humans as "Western Manly"?

They're elves and pixie demons, what do you think the males are gonna look like?

If you do not want to play as a pretty boy (bishonen) character, don't play high elf, play one of the other more 'manly' classes that are already in existence.

This way for those that want to play a pretty but male character at least has one race they can do so.

If you don't like that I said this, well sorry but the creators have to appease a large audience and having variety is the best way to do this, every race cannot be what everyone wants it to be, there has to be some compromise and leeway.

I just want to point out, and this was mentioned on another forums (or maybe comments on a news story), but it's not surprising to anyone that guys like to play as female characters. The whole "If I'm going to look at an [filtered] for 70+ hours, better be a girl's behind" argument. TERA took it one step further and gave the girl armor flaps that totally expose the behind (thanks for that, by the way).

I'm just going to conjecture that perhaps this isn't a Guy-to-Girl thing... maybe there are female players that would rather play as "pretty Guys"?

I personally think that the Castanic males look fantastic as they are, and if anything, their armor should show a bit more skin.

Castanic style looks and feels like a night out at high fashion party, and it's refreshing to see male characters finally getting that type of attention and appearance. They also don't seem too effeminate at all, but more like a well built male models, which seems exactly right for Castanics.

The High Elf males are further in that direction, but their entire design is meant to appear more androgynous. They are elves after all, and if anything, they remind me of Final fantasy characters, which I think always appealed to a large audience, even in North America.

High Elves almost seem like they need a little more..."something"...but I haven't quite figured out what yet. Right now they seem a bit plain, but that may be intention as part of the androgynous look En Masse was going for.

In terms of further Westernization, things like the Castanic female's run animation, both genders voice-overs, and things like pets need to be re-skinned. There have been times so far, when I just stop for a minute and think "what the heck were they thinking over there?"

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Castanic females running a little like ninjas and showing their behind a bit, since that's totally in line with their style, but the arm flailing and knee knocking should be corrected. North Americans just don't run like that.

Has anyone else noticed anything else like this?

I love the current appearances of both races; but I would love to see more hair/eye color variations!!!
