the blue haired one is an interpretation of Felicia from Darkstalkers, i think.

and Mononoke Hime's underlying (art) theme would be a good basis for "adult elins", imo.

read the thread, i adressed this already. Tera has failed in Japan anyway - japan being THE reason they exist at all - and many westerners outright hate Elins for several reasons. it would be wise to offer the wildly popular character theme of nature bound beings in a "grown up" version. this would also maybe make it possible to move away from high heels and all that slightly slutty image into a somewhat more natural representation of a female, combining strength and beauty in a more classy way.

to be a bit blunt, imagine Korra from the lastest "Avatar the Last Airbender" spin-off with animal ears, slightly younger(although i would prefer the older variant, personally), channeling spirit powers in that typical Avatar manner. would be awesome, imo.

edit: on a second thought, forget about the "younger korra", make the adult elins look around 20. yep.


As a westerner I don't hate the Elin. As a westerner, I believe it's just a vocal minority that really HATE the Elin.

As a westerner I'm saddened by the censorship.

Of course, they don't look like kids to me. Certainly a anime-ish loli aspect.

I guess we'll just all have to continue be saddened by those who can't seperate a fantasy fictional game world from reality.

No surprise I guess. It's like those people who get so wrapped up into their TV shows they believe it's real. Same thing, different medium.

And yes, ears on elves wouldn't be adult Elin, because lore wise, they're adults. Duh. I know my one and only Elin is an adult. She's just at the height that we'd call in the real world...midget. :p

call your elin all the names you want, i don't care. adult elins(i explained the meaning of this term in a previous, older post already) or any sort of alternative race sharing the same/similar theme but with an appearance of a grown up would still be pretty awesome.

I'm fine with alternate race. But from what I've seen in TERA lore, adult Elin. Though, why wouldn't HE with vanity items, and you saying they prefere nature not work?

Mm...Think about this...If they did make Elins like this...The current armor (Leather, Heavy, Cloth)

ONE OF THIER APPEARANCES WOULD BE WEARING PANTS!!!(Or long shorts...I dont know why people call them long shorts I always viewed them as pants..helleven my friends say their shorts)

Yet for an elegant body like that that dress suits it well...I would even think Mononoke Hime's look would bode well for them...It also will have to go for personality to matching with this but that aside...

Elins usually wear one peices or clothing with shorts right?...would be intrestingIm gonna try and use my imagination a bit

Ok let's say for whatever reason Elin are given bigger bodies, do you guys actually think that, that will make any difference as to how people see Elin? Well maybe it will, but odds are high that the difference would not be very big. Why? Well here's the thing that many over look, different cultural view's and barriers. Well to put it simply a person from next door may not see eye to eye with you. Now translate that on the scale of the world.

Elin original, unedited version is nothing special in far eastern culture... heck people in JP try to copy anime/manga looks to such an extent, that it dwarfs all the girls/boys trying to copy Justin Beaver... And yet here it make's a wave of ripples. People keep forgetting that TERA is a translation of a far eastern game, as such after all westernization it will still largely reflect the eastern culture.

tl:dr... you are playing a eastern game in the western world. an open mind is needed. few people share opinions.
