Constructive Elin Thread for En Masse(No BS-promised)

I walked into the room and there she was, the little kid - well, that's what they called her type these days, the Elins, though I had my doubts. Her face was innocent-looking, childlike, yet overlarge, and she had these strange, subtly swirling eyes. As I watched her rise, I allowed my gaze to move down her thin, upper body to her lush, adult-like thighs, where I took note of her government-issued shorts. "It must be hard being a nature spirit," I said as she smiled and held out her hand. "Oh, it's not so hard", she replied in a tiny voice. "It's only hard on others," she said with a wink. It seems the armor modifications were done in a manner that resulted in graphical errors. This a quality issue nothing else. I would expect nothing less but the best from anyone asking me to purchase their product. Companies will listen to their audience especially when the audience speaks with their wallet. Regardless of if or if not anything ever comes over the numerous posts in regards to the armor modifications for Elin it won't stop me from rolling one. I just expect to never see or experience anything less than the best that both EnMasse and Bluehole can offer me especially in a field such as an mmo where everyone is trying to get the customers attention.

I can give one piece of construction criticism: EnMasse please work closer with Bluehole on up coming armor designs that either are original unaltered versions that are suitable for the M rating in our region or fully realized versions that are not modified versions of new armor meant to be appropriate for the M rating in our region. Please consider that when you take an artists work and rehash it without at least seven (I was taught this in senior art) major modifications it is a derivative work. Even derivative work of your own art is not considered something unique.

That's a nice little fanfic you got going there, Arkanos. Question: Do all Elins in your story act in the same elegant manner, or are their other Elins somewhat peeved at the lawful yet open racism against their kind? For instance, are any of them peeved that they'd have to follow orders to cover up while other races are openly walking around in tramp and hooker outfits without any sort of decree against their show of "self expression"?

Oh, I think that they could absolutely rage (which isn't the same as saying that it's "hard being a nature spirit"). I also think that they're sly. In any event, I was curious what it might be like if the censorship were part of the lore.

EDIT: (Fanfic, eh? I'll have to look into that!)

Found an underage female Castanic wearing panties this CBT4.
Get onto that EME before someone gets offended!

A bit more on topic.
Still no word on a fix for the armour. If by release it's still broken then people might not have any other option but to use the ones that do work.

That is how most MMOs go. The incompetence of the company drives players to create their own solutions, which in almost all cases are superior to what the company can offer.

I wish I'd ever see a company that actually knew what they were doing. I always sit here and get annoyed that I could run these MMO companies twice as well.

I don't think it requires more than one ear and one brain to deal with things like the Elin armor issue. You listen, you hear the solutions offered, and you implement them.

Or you listen, hear that they're being spewed by [Edited] like you, and ignore them.

Facts: The censoring was necessary. The textures need to be improved. You need to get an education.

Was it really that necessary, though? Most anime that comes stateside nowadays isn't censored, after all (not counting the edits they make for airing on TV, but that's a different issue). The controversy backlash so many people are afraid of would probably have been nonexistent if they didn't do something to draw attention to the issue.

That being said, I know some people say that the original Elin armor makes them uncomfortable. I have nothing against those people at all, and while I'm not affected by it in the slightest, I'm not going to try and force it down other people's throats just because I want something other than the current copy-pasta shorts. Likewise, I'd appreciate it if others stop trying to force their views on what the Elin should wear down my throat.

The main issue I have with this, though, is that EME's doing just that - forcing this hack job down our collective throats without giving any sort of indication that they're considering an alternative, despite how many people are upset about it. It's horrible customer service, and while I'm not going to give up on the game because of it, it does make me extremely wary about the company. (And I'm probably not going to shut up about it on the forums until we get something better than this.)

Fact: your full of crap, the censorship is a product of poor marketing. Someone at En Masse thought this game would be easier to peddle if they got rid of the asain elements that make soccer moms uncomfortable.

Disgaea and Dragon Nest are prime examples of youthful looking characters with revealing clothes. It's not a new thing to asain video games. Neither publisher of these games censored anything. It's a waste of resources to censor a game for an audience that won't play it in the first place anyway. I don't care if En Masse wants to waste there resources trying to appeal to a unreachable audience, but if it does so at the cost of my or any other players enjoyment, I have a problem. This wouldn't be a issue if En Masse improved or expanded the armors instead of blatantly copy and pasting over content.

EDIT: is it just me or are they deleting threads about this problem instead of closing them now? I can't find a few of the earlier threads about this topic...are they just hoping we forget and give up? So when people that come on the forum they don't think that this is a issue that a lot of players want to see addressed? wth EME?

WOW THEY ARE, I remember seeing a topic that was up for several days entitled something like "Finalized armor? I beg you to reconsider".
