changes had nothing to do with fan base but the ERSB(i think thats right) had to censor it because censors said so end of story it sucks but nothing we can do about it.

if something annoys you, irritates you, angers you, etc, etc, etc...pretty simple solution...walk away.

i did for awhile, went to other places, other forums discussing the issue that don't have the forum censorship like this one does with thread locks. heh...censorship...slippery slope, once you start thinking you have a higher moral ground than anyone else...and the power even in a small way...it tends to get abused.

and the trolls tend to intentionally try to get threads locked that they don't like, somewhat common to even have ringers used by a company where that's all they do, flame or trollbait a thread to get it locked for language or flaming. a fairly common tactic sadly. fanboys of said company being the most common thread killers used.

Seen that a lot unfortunately. So I've hopped over to JP Tera just to check in. It's pretty good over there.

Got some guilds that were having a blast and enjoying the game. But for some reason over here a couple of people deemed this game for real life? It makes it even harder when a company views their publishing product, that their selling as a game the same way.

The people who didn't like the changes got hated on, EVEN the ones who asked for better changes that looked up to par with the rest of the classes got hated on. There was nothing more than a lot of trolls, immaturity, and folks that acted like they were in their 50's playing video-games like it was 1945 and the only ones who existed when it came to games.

Fans did have legitimate reasons and they still due, regardless if it's been dismissed by EME. All it showed however, was a company that was unwilling to even provide quality in the changes that they made. Which is why issues such as the dye system are appearing now.

Now that I look back at Elin, a lot of the *pro* change people didn't even know what they were talking about. If they had ever played asian mmo's, then they would know these type of characters existed in those games, shows, etc. It's nothing new and they had a tendency of mixing one thing with a completely and more serious type of thing. A lot of them acted like these games were never published in the US, despite been proven wrong.

Was it fair that the elin players were treated like trash on here? No. Was it fair every-time a player started a thread trolls would come in just to get the threads locked?

And is it fair that players were left with things that would be considered "sub par" to the rest of the game and shows?

Is it fair the type of treatment they got considering this was an asian mmo to began with? Absolutely not, and the ordeal very much reminds me of the US of how they handled those who they considered "minorities" back in the 1950's. The same, ignorant hatefulness that was shown on these forums to those who simply liked elin or were international/culturally aware gamers who had no problems distinguishing from reality to fiction.

Lol there's people that still come to these threads groaning about wanting them to be locked, even now.
