In the Elin Native language, High Elf translates to meat shield.

I usually stay out of this part of the forum as I have little care for most of the lore or what race is op/up....

but this made me giggle.

It's always those elves and castanics taking all the glory!

Even fat belly stone-man baraka gets more shine?

It's because we're the smallest of the bunch?!

K-Tera popori female was suppose to be a side-type character but she gained a lot of popularity with fans than expected.

I had the overview interview about K-Tera somewhere, but i'm lazy right now to dig it up.

*Sigh* I miss the original elins...man they was a lot of fun. I still have the loading screenshot, buwa!

Actually if you read the NPC text from the surrounding Elins you find that even they think the two princesses are acting like spoiled brats. But i have to agree that Elins are way underrepresented in the entire NPC aspect of the game, They don't even make appearences in alot if not all of the main cutscenes it's always a poppori (probably comes from the elin and poppori originally being the same race)

From what i gathered from the NPC and quests, there seems to be some sort of Council as well as ruling monachy for the elins. They live about the same lifespan of humans (seriously, why were they changed from long lived mystical beings to average human lifespan?)

The race page says they are more mature than their appearance would have you believe and tend to enjoy causing pranks and jokes.

But that really is about all I know about them, i think tehre was a Lore wiki somewhere but i don't think that it has much more.

I remember that quest where they say "lives no longer than the average human". It makes me wonder if by that they meant they die as often as humans, such as in the battle against the Argons. And that nearly every Elin is commited to that battle, like any human or other race, and therefore an Elin's lifespan is that of a human or other races. Maybe they are nearly immortal, but not in the sense they cannot be killed, just that their bodies do not age like other races?

Other races regard Elin as strange, and considering their focus to nature, it's not surprising to see them not take the spotlight in the civilized world. They do their part, only because the Argons pose a problem for their only concern- nature. Elins basically "stand still" as a society, never really changing or developing, their eternal youth symbolizing that. While the rest of civilization is constantly trying to progress; change is at the heart of what they are.

Also, I think Elins devotion to nature is more admirable and glorious than the civilized world of TERA. Nature as we know it on Earth, has been here for billions of years. Earlier civilizations, Sumerian, Egyptian, Roman, etc., have all worshiped the Sun, seasons, and stars. Honestly I think that's the only "real" thing.. and the only thing worthy of worship. A lot of things about modern religion are contrivances, and interpretations of those truths.

I stick with the K-TERA elin lore. I'm displeased with the way EME altered it for no particular reason.
