Hey all you know-it-all armchair psychologists!

I'm a 30's male, married, and will likely play mostly female Castanics and High Elves. When I see an Elin I think they look like a diminutive elf-like fairy race with animal features, and I have no particular reaction, positive or negative, to their NA armors or their Korean version armors.

What does that make me?!!?!?!

a person with common sense is rare, and we most stick together. come, let us be brothers in arms. we shall ride, and fight against the evilness of trolls, be it for, or against the walking controversy that is the elin's armor choice.

in all seriousness, i think after the game is actually released, the flame war will finaly be over. its still beta, and if the armor doesnt look up to par (i dont mean in the "sleeziness factor", i mean texture quality etc) then it'll be fixed. trust me, your voices have been heared, all your doing now is beating a dead horse. let this thread die.

Funny story. The changes were originally going to be tights or something that was described as looking like gothic stockings but due to the year of non stop whinefests they decided to go with minimal changes to keep them as close to the original as possible. Anyone else get the feeling that if there hadn't been so much whining to make EME decide to go with minimal changes the changes would of probably had better designs? All the whining kind of backfired on you.

Actually originally they said "No changes will be done" but then whiners made them reconsider to put tights or something on.

The problem right now is that they listened to whiners, then realized that listening to whiners is the dumbest thing they can do, and they started to ignore the whining. Making the initial whiners winners and the later whiners losers.

The interesting part is that if EME were to revert, nobody could complain. Because they could always mod the censored Elins back from the Beta runs, if anyone cared about shorts. Sure if they talked about it, they could get banned. But that is the least they deserve for creating this mess anyway.

New clothes are in every way inferior to the originals. Its disgraceful that you would single out Elins to censor when every single of one of the other female races are on average wearing half the amount of clothes that the skimpiest Elin set has. Its also disgusting that you would put a knife in the back of the people and the race that is this games biggest selling factor. If it was not for the Elin, no one would even know this game existed. It would have died in Korea. You people should be ashamed. You are displaying everything that is wrong in the corrupt mass media.

You have started out very badly for a new company. Lets hope you dont do the other things that have broken games and companies before you, you are are already down one strike.

At this point there is only one way to redeem your self, support the decensor. Put on option in the game or on the website to install the original Korean packs to make everyone happy.

- They ip-banned significant part of the world citing the reason "they are in majority cyber-criminals" after years of promises there would be no bans. This is even more ironic - aside from throwing away quite a chunk of income, and aside from terrible side effects of such announcement - as it says quite a bit about how technically clueless they are (if the cited reason is not a blatant hypocrisy).

- They haven't been able to set normal & feature complete forums for years.

- All cbt1,2 sections are deja-vu of years-back fgt1,2 forums - similar/same issues, similar/same suggestions. Nothing surprising though, for a korean game and how actual developers approach non-KR territories.

- Elins, of course

I'd say, they started terribly for many reasons, and not only because of those mentioned above.

Last night as i was doing so reading i stumbled across a very interesting article in one of my lectures.. i think it's semi related, so give it a read.

".... take this example to mind. Imagine the most pure and innocent though you can, does not mater be it an object, place, person, something that radiates purity in it's essences. Your mind defines that as purity and not me, not any one can tell you otherwise. Now take that though, run it threw today's society, a society were some shout murder if you greet then with "hi" but not "hello". And what do you have? The transformation of a pure and innocent though, in to something vulgar, offensive, unmentionable in polite conversation......"

Some pictures I'd like to point out.

Miku Hatsune was supported by TOYOTA. Check out the "Toyota's Corolla CM" with the artwork. Half of her thighs are showing (and yes, they look like 20+ year old thighs).

Miku is a world-wide known virtual character on the internet who's also known for stripped 'pantsu'. Now what would have happened if Miku got censored like the elins where here?

Fanart=Gone
Promotions=Gone
Music Artist=Gone

There would have been lash backs just as with the elins. Because fanart/video-game characters are viewed as a freedom of artistic expression and fiction. Developers and publishers allowed fans to be fans and to build off of the existing models that Miku became so famous.

Here's another game that's been published on the US soil "Dragon Nest".

Why hasn't that model been censored? Clearly that pixel is showing some leg and MUST be promoting real-life abuses to real human beings. Which is baloney.

With this thought-police like structure the line between fiction and reality is broken. Every person that has watched a horror movie must be promoting murders and superstitious. Anyone who has played video-games is a murderer and a heathen.

Fahrenheit 451 is an awesome book that talks about a world where literature/fiction is outlawed. Surprisingly realistic as this past year we had SOPA/PIPA almost pass. Check it out
